A few of the European royal houses stripped titles around the same time to ensure a more stream lined monarchy so I can’t see the point in walking back on that decision.
Besides at least one of Joachim’s children was shilling for Raffles hotel using his Royal title. I have no doubt that the grand children would be back as brand ambassadors for various companies if they got their titles back.

Both Peter Philips and Zara Tindall have served as brand ambassadors, but they've never held royal titles to begin with. That gives them more flexibility than, say, Princess Beatrice. And even in their case there were people who looked askance at them for it.

Peter Phillips is the one I looked askance at but Zara is at least an accomplished Olympic equestrian.

According to Wiki: "He is currently working as a managing director for SEL UK, a boutique sports management company." which is on-brand for a Phillips.
I feel like time will tell if Fred manages to pull his head out of his behind and step up to the plate. I wonder if Princess Benedikte, Queen Margrethe's sister, will also retire from royal duties. She is a shining star and one of the classiest members of the entire family.

He has a job but his milk ad was directly trading in his royal ties which is a no-no. He got into hot water about that and I think he hasn’t done anything else since.

Margrethe's abdication and Frederik's ascension happened. Some awkward moments were captured on social media. After signing the what appears to be the abdication document, Margarethe just leaves the meeting room by herself. This still photo shows him getting back to business afterward, seated with his back to her as she's exiting. Seems kind of rude. Maybe a guard could have accompanied her out (one did open the door for her) and everyone else in the room should have waited till she left and the doors were closed again. On a balcony, Frederik and Mary seem undecided if they want to kiss, although they do ultimately do a brief peck.

Their children are lucky they have a mother who lived in the real world for 30 plus years. Mary didn’t come from a poor family but she was working in Sydney and paying bills. She lived in a house with roommates and knew what it was like to live on a budget. She doesn’t take anything for granted.
