The Marie Clare interview is the one I read before. I loved the line about the Obi-Wan undies at the end of the article. Thanks for the interview with his wife. I hadn't seen that one. She's really an interesting person.

I just spent a week in Argentina--Spring Break: Man's greatest creation--and I took my copy of Long Way Round to read on the 10 hour flight. It got me revved up for the adventure and finding the joy in the journey. When I got to Buenos Aires, posters for Robots were plastered all over the city. And on two different nights, literally the first and the last nights I spent in the city, A Life Less Ordinary came on the telly. Nice little Ewan moments in a truly wonderful vacation.
ETA: Velvet Goldmine just finished airing on IFC and it will reair tonight at 12 am central. If you have never seen it, tune in. It's a bit uneven, but I love this film anyway.

Had another dream about this actor and I have no idea why.
I had a crush on him and did everything in my power not to let it show. He followed me into my parent's kitchen and kissed me. Awesome farking dream.
Now I have to start watching this guy more often.

I had a Ewan dream last night-he had his Velvet Goldmine look, and it was him and some other guy, and I was chasing him, and then we started flirting, and then making out and such...and then Maggie, my kitten, woke me up.

He's a dream slut! Moulin Rouge is on Oxygen right now. I love this movie. I love how much he smiles; he really works the wide eyed, boy-in-love look. He even makes me like Nicole Kidman--such charisma!
Velvet Goldmine will be airing on IFC again this Friday at 7pm central with another airing later that night.

Yeah, it's funny how I've never liked Nicole Kidman as much as I did in Moulin Rouge. I've admired her acting, thought her beautiful in other moves but never really warmed to her the way I did when seeing her through Christian's eyes. Ewan completely sold me on their undying love and its a shame he never got as much credit for Moulin Rouge! as Nicole did.

ITA. It really was Christian's story, and yet it was constantly refered to as Nicole's movie. I can imagine other actresses in the role of Satine (Chicago star Catherine Zeta Jones for example) but I cannot picture any other actor playing his part.
