The Da Vinci Code was pretty stinky as a film, but it had great locations! I'm actually watching it right now, for wont of anything else on TV. It's got a few so-bad-its-good moments. I like Ewan enough to see how the next one'll be. At least it's not another Star Wars prequel - those were so boring that I couldn't get through them, even with Ewan AND Samuel L. Jackson AND Liam Neeson AND light sabres.

Hopefully now that his erstwhile mentor is bathed in Oscar's glow, Ewan will take his head out of his ass and forgive Danny Boyle for not casting him in The Beach and they could make another movie together! I loved Shallow Grave and A Life Less Ordinary.

HOMG, I had no idea Ewan was in Angels and Demons. And if he's playing the role from the book that I think he plays, WOW. Dammit, and here I was hoping to avoid seeing that movie.

Hmmm. Everyone on Oh No They Didn't is saying that he's always touchy-feely with his co-stars (well, that and "OMG I do that with my married male friends all the time, why is everyone making a big deal about this?"), but if I were Mrs. Ewan and I saw those pictures I'd raise an eyebrow.

On an unrelated note, he normally doesn't do much for me, but I thought he was smoking in Angels and Demons. I spent the whole movie feeling so wrong for lusting after a priest.

I remember hearing, like, 10 years ago that he and his wife have an "arrangement" - as long as he comes home to her she'll look the other way. If they're both happy with it, more power to them (and I hope she's gettin' some on the side too).

Annnd supposedly he fathered the baby Nicole Kidman lost just before she and Tom Cruise separated--possibly what he was alluding to when he said, "Nicole knows why." (I know, take it with a grain of salt.)
