They remind me of Jude Law and Sadie Frost who apparently had the same kind of open marriage (before it all went wrong). Yeah, but wasn't Sadie nuts? And Jude never had a rep as a family man anyways. He did, IMHO. Before he and Sadie split up, you would hear about them and their beautiful family in the British media and how great young Jude did as a dad of three. And while Sadie was always seen as a bit off, during their marriage there wasn't much talk about her craziness. All that came after they split up.

Yeah, Jude was definitely seen as a family man before the divorce.
Aren't Jude and Ewan good friends?

They were -- I don't know if they still hang out, though. (They used to room together, so maybe he and Eve were part of the whole swinger scene. Hmmm....)

Didn't they have some sort of bust-up over a production company they had together?

Yeah, it was called "Natural Nylon", I think. Or something like that.
Oh well, at least I have Obi-Wan. (Contrary to popular belief, Jedi ARE allowed to have sex. They just can't get married and have kids and all that. But they're allowed to have lovers. Probably within the Jedi ranks)

Yeah, but wasn't Sadie nuts? And Jude never had a rep as a family man anyways. I always take issue with the "Sadie is batshit!" view that was espoused during the time of their divorce - and I'm not saying that Guin or anyone else here is saying so, but am referring to the tabloid opinions. Sadie always had that wild-80s-club-kid reputation, but the press only made snide remarks about her sanity after their toddler licked what turned out to be an old ecstasy tab stuck on the floor during a kids birthday party, and secondly, after she started cutting after giving birth to her last kid with Jude, when he was filming Cold Mountain. The opinion at that time was basically a conflagration of "Poor Jude!", "Why doesn't go and join him in rural Romania?" and "crazy junkie!". No one suffering from post-partum depression deserves to be tarred and feathered the way she was just because the publicity was spun in favour of the her ex. Because society is so accepting of people living with mental illnesses as it is. You're not the only one. I was sitting there thinking. "I really have to start going back to church." Then I remembered THAT was the reason I stopped going to my church. Ewan in a Roman collar is a very, very good thing. You stopped going to church because of a distractingly appealing McGregor-style preacher with a flowing cassock and lilting Irish accent?! Dude, I stopped going to church when the priest wouldn't let me join the choir because he favoured kids whose parents were on fund-raising committees! *Puts a pot of coffee on, opens a packet of Tim-Tams and pulls up a chair*Details, Neurochick, details!

Welll, I'm not exactly a fan of Jude's, and I'm glad to hear that Sadie, whatever her problems, seems to be okay. Ewan and Eve in BerlinNeither of them look happy. Whatever's happening, I do hope everything works out for them, and the whole thing turns out to be a bunch of bullshit.

ONTD has scans up of his OUT cover story. I Love You Phillip Morris sounds really interesting. I haaaate Jim Carrey's comedic schtick but I really like him as an actor in his more serious roles (Eternal Sunshine, Man on the Moon, Truman Show). If he's reined in a bit, and Ewan is let loose, this might be a really great performance movie. I hope there's a director's cut on the DVD for those of us who aren't afraid of two men in love.
