Guinastasia posted this link in the movie thread for stills from the London premire. There's also a link to a great article from Esquire on the same page.

Guinastasia, trot on over to the Celebrity Endowments thread. Two Ewen penis shots (one from VG, one from Young Adam, I think) in the last few days' posts.
ETA: Nevermind, Guin, you were the generous poster (thanks ever so much, btw). But I'm sure a few other Ewan fans won't mind a peek at his lovely bits.

I pulled an all-nighter last night; had a big project to finish. Luckily Ewan was there to help me through! Trainspottingcame on IFC not once, but twice. Young Adam came on as well--much more difficult to work while that one was on! And promos for Revenge of the Sith and--yay!!-- The Island came on. As a reward for all my hard work, I'm making the bf take me to see RotS tomorrow night. Of course, considering the utter banality of Episodes I and II, this could be more punishment than reward.

Angel17987 posted a wonderful link in the Hayden Christiansen thread. I really think this would have been a more interesting relationship to explore in Revenge of the Sith than the one between Anakin and Padme. As for the movie, I thought Ewan did a good job, especially considering the material--notably the sappy, overwrought dialogue. His scenes with Hayden were my favorites, especially the fight scenes at the very beginning and the very end of the film. When I got home, I managed to catch the last hour of Rouge Trader. I almost didn't recognize Ewan. His accent was so dfferent. Anna Friel was in it as well. I've never seen her that thin before. Has anyone else ever seen this film? How was it received when it was released?

I know it got a lot of buzz in the UK because Ewan and Anna were both hot rising stars back then. There were the obligatory rumors about Anna and Ewan having an on-set romance because some kissing scenes from the movie were papped and released like Anna and Ewan were out on the town instead of on a film set. I don't know how it did critically or box-office-wise in the UK, but in the US, it was released on the Showtime channel instead of in theaters and was later released on video. I watched it on Showtime and thought it was pretty decent but far from one of his better films. The story was interesting and I really liked both Anna and Ewan but the film was sort of tame (I have a feeling that a story based on the events but fictionalized could have been much better) and relied too much on voice over. The story and actors, with a better script, could have been great.
