I'm so completely bummed. I went to London for a long weekend and tried to get last minute tickets to Guys and Dolls. But alas, I was unable to. WAH!!!
I was sorta consoled by watching him on the hotel TV while he was at the Odeon premier for Star Wars...sorta.

Poor MrsCatHead! (Now that is a phrase I never imagined typing!)
I did just read this, which would explain why you couldn't get those tickets:
Thanks for the info about Rouge Trader, ThursdayNext. I agree with your review of the piece.

For those (like me) who'd like to revel in the extreme hotness (and since the above link seems to no longer be working), I found it here...in a larger size, to boot! Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi! I'm torn with regards to The Island. Scarlett Johansson bores me to tears and I loathe Michael Bay, but...Ewan...so pretty. And I just found out that Sean Bean is in it, too. Damn it. According to this, we will be getting a Guys and Dolls cast recording. So take heart, MrsCatHead. Hooray!

According to this, we will be getting a Guys and Dolls cast recording. Excellent! I saw a DVD of Hugh Jackman's performance of Oklahoma. I guess it would be greedy to hope for the same for this. I will gladly settle for the cast recording. Here's another little reminder of what we're missing, Mrs CatHead. (That link actually has 39 lovely pictures!) The same site that mentions the CD also mentions that the Region 1 DVD for Long Way Round may actually be released this year. If you're interested in this becoming a reality, sign up a Amazon.com to be notified of its release. Allegedly, someone is keeping track of how many people express an interest in this DVD. Oh, and thanks for the extreme closeup, proper stranger! Very nice. Just a heads up for any motorcycle and EM fans. I was just watching the first episode of the American Chopper marathon on the Discovery Channel--my boyfriend loves this show--and who should pop up but Mr. McGregor himself. This is an outtakes and bloopers episode. Ewan and Charley Boorman visited the Teutels' shop as they were wrapping up the North American leg of their Long Way Round journey. They both were thrilled to ride the bikes. Cute moment with Ewan after he backed one of the bikes into a wall as well as when he was laughingly placing his order for two bikes. (I think I remember reading in the book that he did actually get one.) The episode comes on again tonight at 10:00pm central time. And once more at 1:00am central.

You also got a nice view of his tat'-the cliched heart with the dagger and the names of his wife and two daughters. Awwww.
(Although, what the hell's the difference between a regular motorcycle and a "chopper"?)

Ewan, thanks for your valiant effort to class up the atrocious writing in SW III: Revenge of the 8th Grade English Assignments. You gave it your best shot, man.

Damn! I hope I can catch that again at some point. My boyfriend loves the show, too, but I can't stand it because I just can't bring myself to care one bit about motorcycles/choppers/whatever. I flipped right past the marathon yesterday without thinking, so I missed it.

I'm still on a big high from seeing Episode III today. *sigh*
And I saw the trailer for The Island. Even though it's so obviously a remake of Parts: the Clonus Horror (one of the worst movies they did on MST3K), I still want to see it.
