That is one of the two good songs on the whole CD. What is up with the Spanish version of Te Busque where she starts rambling on in English during the middle of the song? That, combined with the interludes, make her sound pretentious and stupid.

Exactly.
I saw the video for "Say It Right" and downloaded after I saw it. Good song! Better than both "Promiscuous" and "Maneater."

I'm liking this CD more and more. I'm happily surprised.
She can't dance though or move. She's so jerky. She needs to stop.

Not a fan, but I don't loathe her so much as her BS of late. The whole "I'm Portuguese" thing is grating. Nelly, you were born and raised in Canada. Just because your parents are Portuguese, does not mean you are, so shut the hell up about it already. I remember back when Nelly had some sense of self, not going the skanky route and calling out FHM mag for publishing a photoshopped pic of her with a bare midriff and misrepresenting her. I admired that about her, it was refreshing in world full of oversexed Britneys and Xtinas. This whole new sexy persona of hers is so damn contrived and awkward. All it says to me is "Hey boys! I broke up with my baby's daddy and I am now back on the market". What next? Flashing your nether regions to the paps like every other 2 bit ho' in Hollywood?

Actually, because both her parents were born in Portugal, I'm pretty sure that makes Nelly Portuguese.

Yeah, "Portuguese-Canadian" is such a common term. I never say I'm "Vietnamese-Canadian." I say I'm one or other other (born in Canada), depending on the context of the question being asked of me. I have no problem having her emphasize her Portuguese background. It's not as if she ignores her Canadian roots. She mentions Victoria and Canada all the time.

I live in Vancouver and work with many Portuguese-Canadians, all of whom were born in Canada. All of them refer to themselves as Portuguese. They speak Portuguese at home and cheer for Portugal in the World Cup. Nelly's pride in being Portuguese is nothing out of the ordinary here.
