This doesn't make me feel nearly as old as I did when the Harry Potter cast started spawning.
I had the classic CPMCoG "is he dead?" reaction to seeing his thread bumped, so I guess creepy oversharing is... better than my expectations?

It wasn't anything that interesting, really. I was at Lupo and he was at the next table - NYC style, very close - and the entire meal he kept pestering the waitstaff with annoying questions about Mario Batali, trying to insinuate they were close friends. Things like, "Is this Mario's playlist?" and the waitstaff were just all, whatever, no. They were completely uninterested in him. He was very loud and attention pulling throughout the meal with his group, too - had to be the center of attention. Boring as shit, too, because we could hear everything (I mean, I could have straightened his napkin for him, the tables were so close) and not one nugget of gossip. Just overly loud, look at me, type of C-list antics. (Look at me, judging celebs like it's the old days!! God that felt good!)

How does he make a living? He hasn't acted since childhood except for that one-off movie about club kids, right? Were "Home Alone" residuals that good?

I would guess he lives a fairly low key lifestyle (you don't read about him purchasing islands or multiple fancy vacation home like some other celebs or anything like that). I would also think, if you have several million in the bank, and you live reasonably rather than lavishly, you probably can live comfortably enough. |

I think it might have been one of the biggest grossing movies ever and it wasn't his only movie. I had to look it up and he's worth an estimated $18 million with an additional $5 million net worth for his wife, so it seems like the finances are solid. That was a super unfortunate series of comments, I'm sure he's getting smacked in the chops for them all right now and hopefully will learn from that. |
