Wow. That's sad. They seemed fairly solid. Well, from what I could tell . . .

Is it wrong that I really wish that his publicist and Reese Witherspoon's publicist would set up some fake dates so that they could stay in the public eye and start some really intesting gossip?

I'm not really suprised, most of his jokes about marriage and fatherhood seem very mean-spirited. When it comes right down to it, I don't think he was interested in becoming a father and when he did, was very disappointed that he ended up with two daughters and no sons.

His wife seems very accomplished, I'm sure she'll land on her feet.

Is this just a hunch or based on anything he actually said? Because in all the interviews I've seen him give, he mentions how he came from a large family and liked it. He also seemed to dote on his little girls and joked about being a protective daddy.

Chris is really funny and often on the mark with his commentary, but, when it comes right down to it, I've never been all that sure that he likes women much.

Didn't he father a child with some other woman while he was married to his wife? Or at least someone claimed he did? I think I remember him on Howard Stern saying he had to confess to his wife because there was a possibility he fathered the baby. Of course, I could have my celebrities mixed up.

The thing I remember Chris saying about marriage was that if you've never been so mad at your spouse that you actually wanted to kill them, then you've never been in love. He's said a lot other cynical, bitter things about marriage and men not being faithful. I know a lot of people think he's spot-on about that stuff, and maybe he is for some people. But I've always thought he was mostly speaking for himself and the fact that he wasn't happy being married.

Me neither, especially lesbian women. There was an interview with him in Rolling Stone a few months back and they had him name his favorite records of all time. He chose The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill as one of them and he said something like, "before this, I'd never heard a heterosexual woman rap before." I don't know what to make of that. Dumbass.
