Pretty ballsy. I have to say, Ms. Portman used to be on the level of GOOP for me in terms of celebrities I couldn't stand, but between this and some of her comments on the #MeToo movement I'm really turning around on her.

Seriously. I'm actually pretty surprised at how far she's come. I always wanted to like her (she was excellent in Leon/The Professional), she went to college (and never let anyone forget it), and was hilarious on SNL. But between the pretension of going to Harvard and then supporting Polanski, I couldn't. The support of the #MeToo movement was great, then she renounced her support of Polanski, and now this! Awesome. She's back in the win column again. The unwavering support of the Israeli government is one of the reasons I can't get behind Gal Gadot. I know she's Hollywood's darling, and everyone adores her, and she's so charming and likable, but I can't get past it. I know it's different since she was raised there, and served in the military, but I just can't.

But yeah, good for Natalie. I can now watch Black Swan and see what all the fuss was about.

I'm really liking Natalie lately as well. I never thought she was the strongest actress, but she's working hard at it and making good choices.

Unlike Goop herself, who puked up a very annoying quote last month about how she only deigns to act in a film if it's "the best ROI". (For you non-business titans, that's "Return on Investment". Something no filmmaker who hires Goop cares about.)

I think she meant best ROI for herself personally, LOL. She gave the example of The Avengers because it has a big impact and she only has to work for 2 days. She's quite the artist.

Called out Moby for his creepy ass reminiscing about dating her when he was 33 and she was 18. Glad to see her no-fucks-given phase is still going strong.

Someone on ONTD remarked that going from Moby to Gael Garcia Bernal has got to be one of the biggest upgrades in history.

This is weird. The Moby I "know" is an ethical, generous, and honest guy. Not that NP isn't ... I just don't know what to think.

I'm no Moby expert but he's seemed like a d-bag to me for a long time.

It's really difficult when a story like this comes out to access information on the topic via Google that's more than 10 hours old. But I'm pretty sure the only one of the two of them who has ever talked about the "fling" is Moby. And he's talked/bragged about it quite a lot for many years. Like this Spin article.

It sucks that he's been going around kissing and telling about this for 20 years and portraying it as a fling. Female celebrities get judged for that. And it also sucks that this didn't even really qualify as any sort of relationship and she's had to carry around the reputation of being Moby's conquest for all this time.

And Natalie is correct that a 33 year old man trying to get with an 18 year old college freshman is nothing other than creepy and inappropriate. It's not something he should ever have been proud of.

You're right. Either way, the age difference was totally inappropriate. This is another one that seemed "normal" to me at the time. Yikes.
