Isn't there another Comic Relief in the works? Yes, it's on November 18th. I hope they air it in all its filth. Whoopi and Robin are two of the bluest comics out there. As soon as they can begin talking about their respective d**k and p***y, they will. It's like a reflex with them. The Whoopster gets a lifetime pass for me for her first one woman show, the one that broke her and got her in The Color Purple. That was some staggering acting work right there.

I kinda love her for giving Spike Lee shit. He was criticizing how she "panders to white America" or whatever, and Whoopi was all, "Really? And how many black women who look like me do you see in Spike Lee's films?" Yeah, that was awesome.

That sitcom she briefly had a few years ago was beyond terrible in nearly every possible way. I couldn't believe that was the best she could come up with. The last few times I've seen her on TV I haven't really liked her. She likes to talk about how she thinks kids need to be raised and it always bugs me. It's mostly the same old tripe about the look that black mothers give to their children that straightens them up quick. I hate hearing about that damn look that's supposed to save America's children. But Whoopi has defended corporal punishment for whenever the look happens to lose its touch. I just did a quick web search for something else to add to this post and I found this which looks pretty good to me:

Me and my grandma both hated her. We used to make fun of her lack of eyebrows. Ehehehehe - My Mum and I dont hate Whoopi, but we've always mocked her eyebrowlessness too. ;D

My cousin doesn't have eyebrows for the same reason as Whoopi: she waxed them off once and they never grew back. How the heck does that work? Is that common? Do you need some sort of freaky eyebrow genes for it to happen?

That outmoded form of child-rearing actually is a cultural issue. Harsh punishment was used in the past as a means of training black children so they would not run afoul of Jim Crow laws and mores. Those days are over so there's no longer a basis for that type of child-rearing but a lot of people, even those who are too young to know anything about JC, still believe it is the proper thing to do.
I like Sister Acts I and II. Good for Whoopi for standing up to Spike. Is she still with Frank Langella or is that over?

Do you need some sort of freaky eyebrow genes for it to happen? Huh, is that what happened? Same thing happened to Lana Turner. She had to shave her eyebrows off for a movie role (to make her look Asian. Yeah, I know!) and they never grew back. She was stuck penciling them in for the last fifty years of her life.

I love her and listen to her morning show every day. She (along with Cubby) is funny as hell and helps me get through the evil morning.

She still advocates corporal punishment; it doesn’t bother me so much because it’s Whoopi Goldberg; is anyone really taking parenting advice from her?
I think what bugged me the most when I listened was when she’d go into these stupid bits about “Words that aren’t words” where she’d encourage people to call in and report pet peeves like saying liberry instead of library because her way of announcing the time? Is to announce, “It’s [time]. Everyone who’s still in the bed who’s not suppose to be in the bed, get up!” Supposed, Whoopi, supposed. And unless you envision all of your listeners snuggled up in one huge bed, you can drop the definitive article.
Not that I give a shit about other people's grammar and vocabulary, but if you’re going to make it a feature on your show, better walk the talk.
See, I just don't find her funny at all. YMMV, I guess.
