I'm pretty sure they have some sort of star of the future award that is for the 'up and comers' and then there's a male/female entertainer of the year award. They do seem to make some pretty random choices, Jennifer Aniston for example won female entertainer of the year last year.

I heard the woman who was Oscar's birth mother committed suicide. I guess she had a history of drug abuse and was despondent because she could not see any of her children. Tragic story. I'll try to find a link. Found it

I read a very long time ago that they had an open adoption with Oscar, and had agreed to send the birth mother pictures of him, but never did. She was upset and the publicist told whatever magazine that called about it that if she wanted to see him, she could look in a magazine like everyone else. I don't think Jackman had anything to do with the ass publicists response, but that was cold. I wish I could remember where I saw that, so I could give the actual quote. But the story stuck with me.

Did they adopt both kids because Hugh or his wife had health/biological problems in having children?

I hate that the birth mother's father makes it sound like Mr. and Mrs. Jackman's actions played a role in her death. Kind of mean.
I live in Vancouver and must be the ONLY person who hasn't seen Hugh Jackman during the X-Men filmings! The word on the street is all good. He seems to be a polite, nice fella. He and his wife helped sponsor and art show/benefit in Vancouver for a children's charity. And while they were shooting X-Men 2, he took his son out trick-or-treating. Oscar was dressed as.... Wolverine (the yellow spandex Wolvie).

Yes, it's mean. I wouldn't like my hypothetical adopted kid to be in touch with their drug addict birth parents either, so I'm not sure they were wrong in that. And that woman had to be a very unfit parent for Social Services to take away her three children, so I don't think the Jackmans are to blame here.

HJ, Halle Berry and Ben Foster are on the cover of the new issue of Premiere magazine. HJ in black leather is not to be missed, especially where X-Men is concerned.

I saw him outside the theatre when he did Broadway. All I remember is that he was tall and had pretty bad breath.
Wolverine has managed to counter the bad breath though.
