Jennifer's red Grammy dress was nice but her right boob looked like it was going to slide off her chest. She needed an snoonch more support.

I thought her dresses so far have been really great, but her Grammy's gown was too tight, rather than being form-fitted. It hugged her too much in the mid-section. Too bad, because so far (in my opinion) she has looked impeccable at these award thingies.

I liked the red sparkly dress she wore to the SAG awards. She rocked that dress!

I've got a feeling she'll be one of those actresses who will win an oscar and then never gets hired on again. Or at least she'll go into obscurity. If she was smart, she would have taken another role after she did Dreamgirls and branched out more. She seems determined to go the music route though.

I think it's smart of her to focus on the music. The girl's singing talent is undeniable. Her acting however may be a one-off sort of thing.
I think so much of Effie was already Jennifer -- that she didn't have too hard a time becoming the character. She was born to play it. Other roles -- she may not be born to play.
Music is a sure shot... Act from time to time.

I totally agree. It's more an indictment on Hollywood's inability to create roles for people like Jennifer than on Jennifer herself, who's got talent. An album full of slow R&B ballads wouldn't sell in today's climate. And her possible movies roles are also limited.

I think singing wise that may be true but as far as the character goes, I think the two are very different. Nearly every account I've read has said that Condon basically had to "beat" the diva into Jennifer since she was nothing at all like the character.

I still don't think she can act. I was not convinced by her performance AT ALL. Nor am I convinced that she herself really wants to act. She seems much more interested in the music biz, which I think her talents are much more suited to.

Her SAG dress was amazing, though, and I do think she's gorgeous.
