He looks like a nice enough guy - not a movie star type, but they make the best husbands. I can't hate on her for falling in love with a super rich guy, he fell in love with a beautiful woman after all. Their kids are going to be rich and pretty, best of both world !

He kind of looks likes Daniel Craig . That's not to bad, most bazzillonaires are way uglier. I think she got one of the cuter ones. YMMV.

Anyone see "Searching for Debra Winger"? Fantastic film by Rosanna Arquette about women and their struggle with juggling family/career and fighting ageism in Hollywood. Salma was so well-spoken and dead-on in her assessments, that I will love her forevermore.

I haven't see that, but I'm not surprised. While I could take or leave her acting (she's turned in some great performances, and some where she was clearly coasting on her charm), she's always struck me as an extremely smart lady.

And I too love her for bringing us Ugly Betty and even though her Sofia storyline bugged me, I do love that she allowed it to end with someone beating her in an elevator with her purse.

He's quite a clever guy too. I've read some interviews with him (work research, don't ask and he seems smart. And he's not that old, either!

Chiming in that the future Mr. Hayek does look like Daniel Craig.

That purple thing she was wearing may be a case of "My normal clothes don't fit, but I'm not pregnant enough for maternity clothes yet." That was always my least favorite phase of pregnancy.

Also, girlfriend may end up with bazooms up to her chin. This should be interesting.

I could have sworn I oozed my Salma love in a previous thread. She's a complete goddess - smart, gorgeous, and doesn't take shit from anyone. I spent about an hour with her once and fell madly in love.

As for the old skeevy billionaire angle, I would think a woman like Salma would have a hard time finding a partner with anyone who wasn't a Master of the Universe. She's such a force of nature I'd guess she intimidates a lot of men, so I forgive her for ending up with the French CEO after dallying with the likes of Josh Lucas. I don't mean to imply that Josh Lucas has masculinity issues or that he was intimidated by Salma - I've no idea. Edward Norton has such a gigantic ego I doubt he was, either, altho I'd guess in the end Salma is smarter than he is. But I could see her ending up with someone like this - older, ambitious, driven, smart - cause those last three adjectives totally describe her, too.
