Thanks so much, Wol. It almost makes me want to cry thinking how badly I want to go out and have margaritas with her. Also, just curious what your job is exactly--are you a producer? *thrusts headshot furiously in front of face* ;D

Loved your story WOL.
Geez, nice, intelligent, fun and insanely gorgeous. Now I want to marry her.

Clementine74, you take that head shot back and save it for someone who still works in the biz. I was a lowly creative executive and left the business in '97. That's why all my good insider dirt is ancient history!!

It's cool to see what you have to say about her, Wol. I really think she's a great role model, not only is she beautiful and a working Latina in Hollywood, she comes off as intelligent and driven. She's not afraid to try new things and her effort really shows through in everything she puts forth. Like I said, Frida is one of my favorite films and she really showed a lot of passion for the role, both through her acting and in interviews discussing her. I think she did justice to an amazing woman.
When I went to the Academy Award rehearsals the year she was nominated, I literally just missed her. I would have given anything to have the opportunity to meet her!
The only thing I wish is that she could get some meatier roles (like Frida). I think often she has to resort to "firey Latina" roles when she is capable of so much more. I like to see her working, but I just wish she had better choices. I think her accent is probably a setback in getting good roles. I am glad, though, that she's able to produce and direct, and she's quite good at them!

And all this time I thought she was with Penelope.

Wonderful story, Wol! That just makes me adore her more. She just comes across as a sweet and darling gal. I'd love to meet her one day (well, her and Dolly Parton. Hee!). I always get into discussions about her and Penelope, and I'm sorry, but Salma wins, hands.down.

Thank you Wol!
I think Salma is one of the few celebrities that I admire. She's smart, talented, and gorgeous. Oh, and balls of steel.
I wouldn't be surprised if she was running a studio someday.

Of all her work, for some reason, the scene in Dogma where she's doing the strip is one of my favorites. It must be the music or the lollypop or something but I can't help but laugh every time - it's just hilarious. It doesn't hurt that she looks very hot.

I didn't even know she was dating anyone. She looks gorgeous in those pics taken with her fiance. I remember a long time ago, probably in the article where she says she'd have to find someone who's balls are bigger than hers, where she said she's had her share of ugly guys. I think she was talking about how looks didn't really matter to her.
I'm interested to find out how long she's been with this new guy. I recall her saying after the breakup with Lucas that she wanted to spend some time on her own, because she'd spent so many years prior to that in relationships.
I'm happy for her since I know she's wanted this for awhile. Back when she was still with Norton, she said she would have a child, but not with Edward. That always interested me, since they were still together when she said that. People aren't usually so bold to day they definitely won't be having a kid with their long-term SO. I wonder why she stayed with him for so long.
I think she'll probably lay low for most of her pregnancy, but I'm totally curious now to see her hugely pregnant. I can't even imagine how big those bad boys are going to get when her milk comes in. Wowza.

Wowza. LOL, somebody slide me to hell in a handbasket, because that's exactly what I thought when I first read that she was preggers. So. damn. shallow. And good for her! As a recently pregnant woman myself I wish her all the best: like... no backaches, no heartburn and lots of sleep.
