Thanks ya'll. I was afraid I'd get pretty flamed saying that, but overwrought doesn't even begin to describe how angry I am that our govt. just puts these sick fucks into jail for while, then turns them loose. Meanwhile some pot heads see more time. It's fucked up and I'm sick of it!

I feel terrible for Wynonna Judd. But I'm proud of her for dumping his ass! Believe it or not some women actually wouldn't.

You won't get flamed by me. I get really riled up on the issue myself. And as for the potheads seeing more time, I remember one of the excuses heard during the initial Couey arrest was that one of the reasons these sickos get out early is due to overcrowding because of minor drug offenses. As one who is fully open about using pot, it galls me to no end that I am seen as more of a criminal and would do more time than one of these disgusting fucks.

She must be going nuts wondering if her kids were ever touched. I have a friend who found out an uncle of hers had been caught "fingering" one of his nieces (he ended up in jail -- Hurray!). My friend had to find a way of finding out from her own daughters, without totally freaking them out, if he'd ever touched them.

Someone asked about the mother Judd. I don't know much about her, but I did see her in some interview years ago. The thing that struck me was how she dominated the interview - and not in a good way. She kept interjecting jokes that had nothing to do with the question, and was very brazenly steering the conversation in the direction she wanted it to go. And she interrupted a lot. I actually felt bad for the interviewer.

I agree with everyone- it makes me sick the way they keep letting these sick pedophiles out so soon even though stats have shown over and over and over again that they can't be rehabilitated. I hope this scum does serious jail time.

To change the subject, yes, Mama Judd (Naomi) is a nut. It always made me feel a little sorry for Wy when they were a singing act. Wy was quite fat and would wear dowdy black pants and sweaters and sort of stand around, while her skinny mom would be dancing around in short red dresses and the like. Bet that wasn't fun for Wynonna.

Damn! I just looked it up on the local newspaper's website and apparently the facility where Wynonna and Ashley both went to for treatment is that same one in Buffalo Gap. Hell, if I had known that I would've gone and tried to take pictures to sell them to tabloids. (And posted them here, of course!)

I've never been able to figure out why, but I have always liked her, and really felt for her. I hate her sister and her mother, but Wy just seems like such a normal woman with normal problems, and although I guess it can seem like she is whining, I think it's refreshing that she isn't afraid to let everyone know that she has got some pretty major flaws, just like the rest of us. (Man, run-on sentence alert).
I have to believe that she had NO idea about the husband because it sure seems to me that this divorce thing came out of the blue, like she found out and said to get the hell out of her life right now.
I also feel for her about her weight problems, and have always thought she was the most beautiful Judd.

I think Naomi is completely insane and made her daughters miserable. Even in the completely sanitized tv movie on their lives (narrated by Ashley) I got the impression that she was a bit of a monster. I think Wy got the brunt of it since she worked with her mother and Ashley was able to get away by going to college, etc., but Ashley clearly has her issues too (manifested in her weird germ phobia and OCD tendencies).

I'll bet Wy thought this guy was great because he "got" her - the problem is that he "got" her because he is messed up too. I agree that she had no idea that he was a pedophile and filed for divorce the moment she found out.

I always felt especially sorry for her when The Judds were still together - she was the one with the pipes, Naomi...could harmonize. But just about every time I saw them performing Naomi was prancing around in some sparkly outfit and Wy just looked miserable. She seemed much happier as a solo artist.

She seems genuinely self-aware about herself, which is more than I can say for her mother and her sister.

[soapbox}I know someone who was falsely accused of inappropriate touching of a child. It never happened. The now-adult concocted "memories" decades later with the help of a "therapist", whose credentials are questionable at best, and then the now-adult accused this person. The accusation and subsequent fallout nearly ruined the accused's personal and professional lives. While it unfortunately looks like Wy's soon-to-be-ex did do these heinous things, at the moment he is only charged with these crimes. Let's let him go through the system and be tried and convicted. Jeebus forbid that anyone else have to live with such a horrible accusation. {/soapbox}

I agree that Naomi, as a mom, must have been a nightmare. Poor Wy.
