Also his whole walking out of the interview is pure drama queen territory. If it would have been a woman especially a woman of color, the amount of people going in would be out of this world. But suddenly the discussion is he wasn't coddled enough when he was in fact more than accomodated. Was NPR supposed to give a him a blankie and some snacks while the clip was playing? And the clip is played as he is there to promote the movie. People hear or see a good scene, they will be more inclined to see the movie not just hearing the actor and interviewer discussing the movie. That shouldn't go out the window because of his ugly, delicate ass. Agreed. Publicity is part of the job. He needs to get a grip.

Both him & Scarjo were excellent in Marriage Story. I only know him as the guy from Girls and hadn't really seen him in anything else even though I'd read he's the new hot actor in town. I watched it with three other people who either found the movie too slow and boring, unrelatable or not all that. I haven't been through a divorce and yet I found it profoundly real.
I agree that the way he handled the NPR interview is bad. Not necessarily divaish if he can't stand to see himself play on screen and was given a heads up, but he's sort of trying to have it both ways. If he only did theater, he probably wouldn't have this issue but then he also wouldn't have the name recognition that comes w. the big screen which he must want given that he signed up for the type of movies that gives him massive exposure. We all have to compromise because the world is not coddling us. I have misophonia, which is hightened irritation from certain noises, even a sneeze or someone chewing loudly on apples, chewing gum loudly, etc. I don't go around asking people not to eat apples. I put on my headphones, go for a walk. I make it work. We all do, I'm not special that way. So why can't he?

I think he’s really hot. He’s not conventionally hot but he has something about him. I think his talent is a big part of it. He’s a great actor and has a lot of charisma on screen. As for the interview, I agree it doesn’t look good but I’m not leaning towards him being a diva yet. He’s done a lot of interviews and awards shows with clips and he’s always seemed reserved but very professional so I think something else may have happened. I’m surprised his publicist didn’t jump on this since it kind of blew up.

I’m surprised his publicist didn’t jump on this since it kind of blew up. "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt." I think he had nothing to gain by explaining himself. Most people who care about this sort of thing are going to give him the benefit of the doubt the same as you are, and it's not the kind of thing that's going to follow him around like it would if he were an actress. I don't find him attractive, but I'm ok with him playing romantic leads. I do think he's charismatic and a good actor.

He is a good actor but Marriage Story looks like the last thing I want to watch; straight, white people fighting for two hours? Nah ;-) The gif sets I've seen on tumblr making fun of that big fight scene between Driver and ScarJo has ruined it for me anyway lol

It's the kind of movie I will watch exactly once. I'm glad I watched it because it is good, but I don't ever want to see it again!

Excited about SNL this weekend. The promo Driver did about having to clean up from their Christmas party was hilarious. His comic timing is on point.
And I think Halsey is talented (and beautiful).

He’s definitely one of the better SNL hosts. He sold all the skits. I liked the Undercover Boss follow up, although it was still nowhere as good as the first.

He seems to be the kind of host who throws himself in and lets them him over.
