There's hope for Maddie yet. Is JLS living with Casey? Or are they both staying with Lynne at her mansion? The above article references a post-birth getaway to the home that JL and Casey share...

JL's earnings are subject to the Coogan Laws, which protect the wages of kids in the entertainment industry. Basically a percentage of the child's income is placed in trust until the child turns 18.
All JL could have waited until her 18th birthday, taken her money, and retired from acting. Mama Lynne wouldn't have been able to stop her.
It's just too bad her dad and brother didn't intervene or offer support sooner.

I respect Jamie Lynn for wanting to live a normal life and not being interested in dry-humping stripper poles in shitty videos for shitty music like big sis. I also respect that she has a little house of her own instead of lounging around in Lynne's manor all day. I feel weird about this because I never thought I would respect a member of the Spears family, but it's becoming more and more obvious that Lynne and Britney are the real rotten apples in the family. Pa Spears seems to be responsible now (better late than never) and you never hear about the brother wrecking his car or getting multiple DUIs or whatever, so he's probably not that awful. But Lynne and Britney? Stupid, selfish wastes of air, both of 'em.

Good point. I heard in one of the tabloids (for what it's worth) that her mother supposedly had Jamie-Lynn on a sort of lockdown in Britney's Kentwood house. If she is living on her own, good for her for getting away. It's also good to know that Britney's father is finally stepping in and taking control.

On the cover of OK Magazine: "BEING A MOM IS THE BEST FEELING IN THE WORLD"Just what teenagers need to know I saw a pic of that cover too and found it sad. Being a mom should not be the best feeling in the world for a 16-year old girl. She's looks like such a kid on the cover .

Her hair looks grey in the cover pic.
That article is incredibly irresponsible on OK!'s part.

To be fair, teen pregnancy didn't start with Jaime Lynn, and it won't end with her. It's up to parents to teach their children that having babies at a young age is really hard and not the ending of a fairy tale.

She looks like Mary Lou Retton on the cover of the mag. She also looks like the kid sister of the baby instead of her mother.
