Of course "being a mom is the best feeling in the world" for JL. She probably hasn't had to change, clothe or feed the baby once. Nannies, Granny Spears and whatshisname's mother have been handling that I'm sure.

I give her a coupla more months of this momma nonsense and she'll be rarin' to go back to being a "normal teenager".

I agree Sugarhigh. Besides, is this kid really that much of a celebrity to warrant all this coverage? The novelty is obviously that she's a kid. So no, it's not a matter of a National shamefest. It's simply glamorizing something that's already a problem in the US. It's not that it's a sin or shameful to have teenaged sex. It's a matter of the babies who are brought into the world to be raised by kids who don't yet have the means to support themselves, let alone babies. Sure Jamie Lynn can afford to do it financially for now. Maybe that's why the press sees it as so glamorous.

And I think a lot of people have difficulties and challenges with babies - not just teenagers. I get that maturity is the big issue wtih teens, but at least Jamie Lynn seems to have the financial means to help care for her child. I realize she's not loaded, but I bet she has more cash than many families that are older who struggle with day care, medical bills, school activities, etc. Money isn't everything, but it sure helps when you have you kids, no matter what your age and maturity level.

But yeah, she really needs to stop pimping out to OK.

ETA: As for Granny Spears possibly being around, isn't that common? My 30-year-old friend had her first baby last week and her mom is in town for four weeks. And I have a 40-year-old friend pregnant with her first and her mom is planning to come and stay for a couple of weeks. I thought lots of grandmas did this.

Absolutely.

She makes money off of those pap pictures, so I guarantee she wasn't hiding from the paps. They knew exactly where to find her.

By "parading" I mean selling her story for three features in OK! magazine for a million dollars. Who wants to bet there's a "Maddie's first Labor Day!" story coming? And if anyone still doesn't believe that the Spears family is in deep with the paparazzi agencies, well then I've got the Brooklyn Bridge for sale.

I'm on board with ignoring her but if the media can't do that, the least they could do is not play the story like "Teenage motherhood is awesome, y'all!".

Im willing to bet she had nothing to do with selling her story. Mama Spears handled all that. To me, she seems to have been going about her days trying to stay as low key as possible. She is still a minor and Lynne does still have some control over her. Lynne may not exercise that control when it comes to raising her daughters, but she sure has shown it when money is involved.

I get the feeling that Jamie Lynn doesnt care about any of it.

I'm willing to bet Jamie Lynne sold her story because she knows it's good money. All she has to do is let OK! in once or twice a year into her life and she's got money in the bank. She may not like the fact other paps came to Kentwood, but I have no doubt she doesn't mind sprucing little Maddie up for the occasional picture.
