For the same reason her big sis's name is "Britney" and not "Brittany." She either thought "Maddie" would look cuter or just didn't know any better.

Aha! I thought she might have given birth when I saw pics of Brit, her dad and brother at LAX the other day. I have a seven week old and I cannot even imagine doing this at 17. Good luck to them.

It would be better if she had a full name like Madeline, because she will spend the rest of her life being asked "What's your full name?", but still Maddie isn't that bad. I was expecting a lot worse, considering Jamie Lynn is so young and also a Spears. I was expecting some super-trendy name with a mangled spelling that made it eleven letters long.
I hope Lynne keeps her claws off this baby and we don't see "pop sensation Maddie Spears-Aldridge" posing semi-nude on a magazine in 15 years. I'm sure Lynne is already dreaming of that day. I hate Lynne.

That child will be on a pageant stage in full hair and makeup by the time she's 3. I'd bet on it. I don't think Jamie Lynn has enough backbone to resist her mother's machinations.

I thought I read somewhere that Lynne didn't know how to spell "Britanny". I know pregnant women have to keep away from kitty litter boxes) That's because of a parasite called Toxoplasma, not fumes, exactly. Topic? Let's debate who's worse off-Maddie, or cousins Sean and Jayden? |

Maddie Aldridge will be nice and inconspicuous in school hopefully. I don't think anyone is ever going to forget the name Federline. She and the boyfriend were buying a pickup the other day, and seem to hang at Walmart A LOT. I think there's hope for her, if Mommy leaves her alone. So what is she doing for money? Does she get her money at 18? Is the boyfriend employed at all? Is Britney just sending her $1000 bills?
