I loved this movie. Bruce Wayne was great and I also adored Alfred. I kept saying to my husband, "I want Alfred to come and live at our house."

Love Christian Bale. Always have. Always will. Good movie. How cool would Angelina Jolie be as Catwoman? She'd be awesome! Like, say, Rachael MacAdams? Another casting suggestion for a future Batman film: Jeremy Sumpter, aka "Peter Pan," as Robin.

Uma Thurman as Catwoman would be interesting. I think I'd like to see that.

Saw this movie on Friday and I must say I loved it. I was a little wary of Christian Bale, mostly due to the fact that Michael Keaton was my first and always was Bruce Wayne in my mind and that Val Kilmer and George Clooney felt totally wrong, but he quickly won me over. Only problem with that is I now have two different versions of Bruce Wayne fighting for supremicy in my head. Ah well, not that I'm complaining.
I couldn't help but love Alfred. I've always loved Alfred, but in this version he just seemed to shine. The Bruce/Alfred interaction was so well done, which is something I thought was lacking in the other movies.
Angelina Jolie as Catwoman? Oh Gods yes! Though I had a terrible, terrible thought... What if they decided to merge this Batman series with *gulp* the Halle Berry version of Catwoman? *shudder* Evil, nasty thought... I may have to hurt someone if that ever happens... Doubt it ever will happen, but scary thought all the same.

I actually hope that other than the Joker they don't repeat any more villians. I'm sort of sick of Catwoman. I blame Halle Barry entirely.

Weird! I saw this last night and spent the whole drive home whining to my brother about that swirling abyss of suck, Katie Holmes. Care to guess who I chose for my fantasy recast? Rachel MacAdams. Great minds!

Is this movie appropriate for a 5 year old?

It seems like it would be pretty scary for a five year-old. I'm a non-squeemish 30 year-old, and all those scenes with the jillions of bats flying around freaked me the hell out. I'm not even scared of bats in real life! They're filmed for the greatest effect.
There are also some pretty disturbing menacing crazy people/hallucination scenes. I wouldn't take my kids to see it until they were tough tweens.
