Excuse me while I go a little fangirly: aieee! This movie was excellent. Even Crazy Katie couldn't detract from it. Dare I say she was even tolerable in her role?
But Christian - damn, he owned Bruce. He is Bruce Wayne. I can't see anyone else in this role now. He's made it his own.
The writing, directing, everything - I think this is easily the best Batman movie in the franchise (yes, even better than the original), and quite possibly the best comic book movie (IMO).
The supporting cast was just outstanding - I really loved the interaction between Bruce and Alfred, as well as the interplay between Bruce/Gordon and Bruce/Lucius. Excellent casting of well known actors without them overshadowing the character. Bale holds his own nicely and never gets upstaged.
Overall, just a really fantabulous movie, and one that I will surely see again in the theatre.

Word. I turned to my friend and said, "man, she's a beeotch!"
Despite the suckage that was KH, the movie was excellent. It had everything: action, adventure, drama, and even a little bit of comedy.
I'm not usually one to spot or even appreciate HoYay, but that little moment where Alfred and Fox greeted each other was steamy!
Cillian Murphy and Tom Welling were separated at birth. CM was wearing more makeup than Tammy Faye. It was kind of distracting.
Two thumbs up. It didn't even feel like it was over 2 hours long.

Well, looks like i'm in lonely company, because this movie did nothing for me. I didn't NOT like it, but it was just kind of "there". The worst things for me were Katie Holmes and the action sequences. Holmes was the wimpiest DA i've ever seen on film. She couldn't intimidate a fourth grader, much less the bad guys in the movie. And the action sequences sucked because the camera was too close and was shaking too much (especially when Batman was fighting).
I will say though that Christian Bale is the man! He was so right for this part. I hope that if they do a sequel, they keep him. I also liked the chase with the bat-tank. That was bad ass!

Love Christian Bale. Always have. Always will. Good movie.
How cool would Angelina Jolie be as Catwoman?

Don't worry, vegasusa, Christian's signed on for two sequels already. Let's just hope the next two films are as awesome as BB! Christian really does capture what I've always pictured Bruce Wayne to look like. I was a toddler and a kid returning from the Philippines when the first two Batman films came out so the only thing I ever knew about those two was that Michael Keaton seemed too dorky to play any superhero. As of just two weeks ago, I've seen both those films and think he did an okay job in the role, but there was definitely something missing. George Clooney and Val Kilmer don't look anything at all like what I would expect Bruce to look like, which is a big reason why they bugged me in their respective films. Christian is perfect, looks and acting wise.
I really don't think KH was that bad. There's not much anyone can do with a love interest role.

The [[ Joker teaser at the end was great and caused the crowd to go nuts..]] Just before that all I kept thinking was [[ "What kind of a world is this where a man dressed as a bat gets all my press?" ]] Oh, goodie! I wasn't the only one!

Good news for Bale, and for those of us who were underwhelmed by Holmes, from Page Six:

Saw this film yesterday, and I say, "Bravo"! First movie to really get the comic book right- truly, I think it's the finest of its genre. The way the eyes looked when people were exposed to the "Scarecrow Spray" was great- I totally could see that in a comic book rendering. This movie, along with Sin City in many respects, make me believe that film folks are finally getting to the heart & soul of illustration. And Christian Bale did a wonderful job- he owned that character.
