Batman Begins isn't this summer's only superhero movie. Fantastic Four's the next one, which comes out July 8th nationwide. I've only got, um, four reasons to see it:
1. Ioan Gruffudd. 2. Julian McMahon. 3. Michael Chiklis. 4. Chris Evans.
As for Jessica Alba, whatever.
Talk about any & all things Fantastic Four-related here.

Out of loyalty to my favorite member of the British Navy--heh--I will see this silly little movie. I saw a commercial on tv for the action figures.
Sigh...Ioan, what are you thinking?

Sadly, I think it's possible Ioan's thinking about his mortgage. I can forgive King Arthur, because that probably looked good on paper (and it's sexy as hell), but Fantastic Four looks horrible. Have you noticed that in the trailers he has little patches of gray in his hair at his temples? It looks so fake.
And, I hate it when he plays Americans. He just can't seem to get the accent right and it totally ruins the performances for me.

I'll come for the Ioan, and I'll stay for the Chris Evans, but uh, that's about it.
I'm hoping it pulls a Josie and the Pussycats and ends up surprisingly witty and cool, but I'm not holding my breath on that one.

Neither has most of America, which is why it will make, like, two dollars at the box office. (Chiklis and McMahon have the biggest profiles, with The Shield and Nip/Tuck, but a hit cable series does not a b.o. draw make)
That and the fact that it looks really bad, even F/X wise.

I'll come for the Ioan, and I'll stay for the Chris Evans, i agree 100% with that I loved the show as a kid, even though the trailers look bad maybe it will be really good and suprise us?

It looks like an unfunny version of The Incredibles. I'm told these characters are much older, but in that case they should have made the film before the Incredibles got made.

Okay, I'm a big Fantastic Four fan but even I have reservations about this movie. It just looks awful. Considering that the FF is one of Marvel's oldest properties it's amazing that they once again put out a bad movie...seriously, what the hell?

I guess I'm showing my age when I say that I loved The Fantastic 4! I'll go see the movie, but I'm really not expecting much, thus, I won't be dissapointed. I'm way more excited about Wonder Woman possibly coming out the year after next.
