I really want to see this too! They showed the preview in front of War of the Worlds today, and afterwards, the theatre was absolutely buzzing. This is going to be a hit for sure!

This looks good, though I'd rather Naomi Watts weren't in it, but whatever. I know this is unpopular, but I thought the LOTR movies were BORING as all hell (though were beautifully made), so I'm hoping this is a bit better.

Interesting. Looks like they're going with the "huge" King Kong (like, as big as a house) rather than the "ginormous" King Kong (like, half the height of the Empire State Building). I assume his size will remain constant throughout the film, unlike in the original.

The trailer looks good. And oh my god Colin Hanks looks just like his dad. Except cuter.
I still find the whole King Kong meets Jurassic Park a bit strange ever since the original. Plus there's that little girl who looks like a cross between Samara and Gollum. But I'm a sucker for a period piece especially the 1930s and I'm so glad it's not modernized. So I'll be seeing it. Naomi Watts, Colin Hanks, Jamie Bell, and Adrien Brody make up for the Jack Black factor.

Sure am looking forward to this one...I hope it doesn't suck as bad as it could. Anyone remember the 1976 version? That's what I mean.

Yes, I sure do remember that version. My 12-year-old self paid good money to see it. Blargh.
Jessica Lange's character: My horoscope said I'd cross over water ... and meet the biggest person of my life. 12-year-old me: Cooool! 41-year-old me: Oh, God, puh-lease.

I kinda thought the trailer looked like ass. I was thinking that Jurassic Park had better CGI and it came out twelve years ago.

The trailer does look rough in some spots, but I assume that in the rush to get a trailer out there to go along with the big summer movies, they put in some unfinished effects work. At least I hope so, because the Kong vs. T-Rex (or whatever it is) fight does look pretty lame in the preview.
I sort of wish the trailer (at least the one I saw during the summer) had ended with Naomi Watts's scream being "answered" by Kong's roar. That part is pretty bad ass and Naomi has a teriffic scream.
In any case, I can't wait. I love the King Kong story and pretty much love the principal actors. I thought Jackson was biting off more than he could chew after the LOTR films (I thought he should make another small Heavenly Creatures type film so that expectations wouldn't be so high), but I think he will have another massive hit on his hands.

I loved the LOTR movies, beautifully made, NOT boring to me. Lifetime LOTR fan, though.
But this movie looks like crap.

I've gone from "not going to see" to "possibly going to see it" to "probably not going to see it" after finding out that this thing will be Three. Freakin'. Hours. Long.
