I agree, huntergrayson, I didn't get the impression they were making fun of the brother because he was gay, but because he was effing insane. I loved his crazy hair and scarf during the football scene. Hee. It just seemed like the whole family was fair game -- they were all nuts.
Also? Rachel McAdams? Looked gorgeous with the dark hair. Gorgeous. I didn't even recognize her at first. I have very dark hair and pale skin -- why don't I look like that, damn it?
The one thing I could have done without in the movie was the Vince Vaughn cake-eating wedding montage. Barf. Vince is pretty, but "seefood" grosses me out.

I saw it tonight and I thought it was pretty funny. It was no Dodgeball, but it was okay. Rachel McAdams brings the pretty and Owen and Vince are funny.
I definately called the Will Ferrel cameo, and I found it sorta lame. Funny, but lame. Was anybody surprised by this at all?
It was pretty funny, but if I see it again methinks it'll be on DVD or cable.

There were some really funny parts, but it seemed to switch back and forth from "Dodgeball"-humor to a romantic comedy. I thought Owen Wilson's character was a real ass to Vince Vaugn especially in the end during the wedding-talk about stealing your "best friend" s moment! But it's worth watching if you are a Wilson/Vaugn fan.
Also, everyone keeps saying how pretty Rachel McAdams is, but I thought the actress who played the other sister/bridesmaid was prettier-I so wish I had her hair!

That other actress is named Isla Fisher (pronounced isle-a). She apparantly was also in Scooby Doo but since I had my eyes closed through about half of that movie, I may have missed her. She has been on a couple of late night shows and I was surprised to find out that she grew up in Australia (talk about a great American accent!), but unfortunately she was given about 1.5 minutes only on both shows and was shown the door. I hope to see her in more stuff in the future. On a side note, Wedding Crashers just captured the number one spot. Not bad for a movie that didn't start out in the top spot and then later reached it. It could have been the dismal competition, but I would like to think it was the word of mouth that propelled it there.

I liked it a lot. Weak plot was more than made up for by the incredibly witty machine-gun-fire badinage of Vince and Owen. I was really impressed with them, especially Vince. And Isla Fisher? Gorgeous.

She is engaged to Sacha Baron Cohen (Ali G), apparently they live in Hollywood in a $2 million house previously owned by the artists formerly known as Brad'n'Jen. It's a small world...

My mom, of all people, dragged me to see this movie, and I ended up liking it. Vince Vaughn is somebody I can really go either way on -- funny/charming or just plain sleazy -- but he was flat-out hilarious. Wilson was acceptable but his role just wasn't as funny as Vaughn's. I dock major points, however, for criminal underuse of Jane Seymour and Christopher Walken. Especially Walken, who's so effortlessly funny anyway.
Overall, I thought this was pretty good as mainstream sex comedies go. The scene at the dinner table was hysterical.
Well, don't forget "horny" as an option. Sometimes women really do just want to have sex... just because these guys have an agenda doesn't mean their partners can't get something out of it as well. Obviously it's not as if Wedding Crashers is some grand feminist statement, but nor do I think the premise is inherently a zero-sum game. Just because the male characters "win" doesn't mean the female characters automatically lose.
Anyway, I'm not trying to argue you into retroactively enjoying it. I was actually a hell of a lot less offended by the premise than I expected to be.

My mom and I went to see this today. What the hell, it was her birthday celebration. It wasn't too bad, though I would have liked it more if it had ended 30 minutes sooner.
Clearly I've become too used to seeing PG-13 movies because I remember being surprised at seeing tits AND hearing swear words. It's like the 80's all over again!

I thought the movie was hilarious. I absolutely loved Vince Vaughan. Oh man. I was pretty surprised that I wanted to see more from him and Isla Fisher rather than Owen Wilson and Rachel McAdams. I think I could watch Vince be humiliated and tortured all day long! The scene at the dinner table was priceless. I never thought I would laugh so hard (heh) at a hand job. That was worth my seven dollars.
I actually got a little misty when Owen showed up at Vince's wedding and security promptly tried to throw him out and Vince interrupted his own wedding to say "STOP! Let him go. He is the best man." Awwwwww. Sorry, I suck.
