Yeah I thought Fenster raised some valid points too.
I totally loved this movie. I liked the politically incorrect premise and the fact that Vince Vaughn spends the majority of the film getting his comeuppance. He's outrageously funny.
Even VV looked as though he had no idea what was going to come out of his mouth next.
It could have been shorter, but the rom com aspects weren't as bad as I thought they would be.
"I hunt quail, Jeremy. They're overpopulated in this region and they're decimating the grubworm population. You got a fucking problem with that?"
"Not as much as I do with your attire, or just your general point of view toward everybody here. But hey, lets go kill some birds. I'm psyched. " "I happen to know everything there is to know about maple syrup! I love maple syrup. I love maple syrup on pancakes. I love it on pizza. And I take maple syrup and put a little bit in my hair when I've had a rough week. What do you think holds it up, slick?"

Just got back from seeing this. Sooooo very disappointed. It was so flat!
It didn't flow very well. Like it was a bunch of funny moments strung together. It dragged like a dead horse in some spots. And the last 1/3 of the movie was horrible. Almost like they were making a different movie entirely.
Yet, there were funny moments which I loved. And Isla Fisher rocks! I hope to see her in more stuff (hope she gets better roles than sidekick/love interest in Scooby Doo!). Owen Wilson's character was an ass. I would so dump his as a friend.
Edited to add something nice: It *did* have one of the best opening sequences I've ever seen.

So, I know I am REAAAA-aaaallly late to the party here, but I just saw this tonight and I loved it! Vince Vaughn's facial expressions in the movie are absolutely priceless! The dinner table scene was so f'ing hilarious! In fact, pretty much every VV scene in the movie induced hyena-like laughter from me, and I am SO not into physical comedy. I haven't seen it until now, because I thought it would be an American Pie-type disaster, but I LOVED it. Vince is almost edging out Johnny Depp as my number one movie boyfriend because of this movie. He is so damn FUNNY that I want him. Now. MUCH better than The 40 Year old Virgin.

I watched this last night and I Loved it!!!
I do agree that it was about thirty minutes too long and I could've done with less Owen Wilson sobbing around towards the end but other than that I laughed my ass off.
It would've been nice if the asshole fiance would've gotten more of a comeuppance - he really needed more than just getting his face punched in.

This was the movie that made me love Rachel McAdams. She looks so damn good in it. I was cracking up when she kept laughing at the self-written vows.
I remember being a little surprised by how much swearing there was in this. It did seem to drag in places, especially when they're with her family at the summer house or whatever. I have to watch it again. My aunt has my copy though.
The premise is sleazy but it really was fun seeing them really enjoying the wedding stuff.

I love WC, mostly because of my Vince Vaughn love. But Rachel McAdams has the best hair of all time in this movie. Oh, how I covet it.

I finally saw this and man, was it boring. Really not that funny. I loved Old School but this just dragged and dragged. And I think I'm missing the gene that makes Owen Wilson so hilarious.

Funnily enough, it wasn't Owen Wilson that I found so hilarious in this movie. It was Vince Vaughn. Oh, and of course, Isla Fisher.

OMG, I'm not alone! I always kind of avoided commenting on this movie because everyone else seems to LOVE it so much.
