We did the 7:30 Valentine's Day showing of the 3D version, it was a lot of fun. I haven't seen so many couples at a movie in years and the previews were fun, silly movies. I also haven't actually sat next to a stranger at a movie since pre-pandemic, so I was slightly taken aback when a couple came in and took the recliners directly next to mine.
The 3D effects were just okay for me, it mostly seemed to be weird stuff floating out at me, like the tools on the boat Bill Paxton was on, those effects didn't really add too much to the experience.
But I enjoyed it and I'm proud of myself for not falling asleep, despite having brought a fold-up blanket and pillow and reclining my seat all the way.

There's a great YouTube documentary on the OceanGate tragedy this year. The submersible was exploring the Titanic's wreck in the Atlantic Ocean. Stockton Rush, OceanGate's CEO and founder, was married to Wendy Weil, whose the great-great-granddaughter of Isidor and Ida Blun Straus, the older couple seen holding hands while the ship sank. What a coincidence!
