Hated it.
Thought it was one big sucking black hole of on screen charisma. It's everything that's wrong with big budgeted Hollywood movies. Everybody involved just phoned it in, but it's going to make boatloads of money anyways. Gah.
(And lest you think I don't like big budgeted Hollywood movies in general? I loved Iron Man.

I liked it a lot, but didn't love it. But maybe my love for the original trilogy is bumped up by nostalgia?
I think what was missing for me was the element of flirtation. Watching 2 older folks get gushy over each other is sweet, but it doesn't have the same charm or titillation.
Some of my favourite scenes in the first films were between Indy and his various leading ladies. I love the scene on the sub and the kisses. Holds up as a very hot scene to this day.
So, this film had none of that and in my opinion, needed it. Something to balance all that action really.
Also, did anyone else notice some blatant ripping off of "The Mummy" films? Now I know an argument could be made for "The Mummy" ripping off Indy, but still.....

Yeah - there were several parts towards the end that felt like they were lifted from the cutting room floor of one of The Mummy movies. Funny enough, "The Mummy" was on TV the other night and I had forgotten just how much I enjoyed the first one.

Well, since I took elder spawn to SATC last night, i get to take baby spawn to Indy this Sunday. I'm not really looking forward to it. I've heard it's a letdown, and reading here kinds confirms that. Oh well, it won't kill me I guess.

OK, yeah, I definitely enjoyed looking at Harrison. I do love him. My son (who is 7) loved the movie. I liked parts of it, but the ending was so WTF? And insects in large amounts make my head itch. Needless to say, I scratched a lot during the movie.

There are insects in this movie? Dammit, I blame "Temple of Doom" for my fear of insects. I don't want to sit through another one!

I was so excited at the beginning was when Neil Flynn popped up, I was like "It's Janitor!" And it's the second Ford movie he's appeared in. HAAAhAAAAAA!!!!! I just saw the movie yesterday with my thirteen year old daughter and we both squealed the same thing at the same time. The two little old ladies in front of us had to shush us!! I don't have a problem with Karen Allen's age (it's refreshing), but she just had no chemistry with Indy, and quite frankly, she looked wasted the whole time - her eyes had that unfocused, glazed look.
