Actually, isn't she from Argentina? I agree with everything else you wrote here though. I have read (on other boards, and on the MD board at the Old Place) such vituperative hatred for this poor woman - the mind boggled. How she "trapped" him into a relationship, ensnared him with her (fake?) boobs, and used her child to pull him closer. That kind of crap. At the end of it all I'm glad they got married; good for her (yes he is hot!) and good for him (she doesn't seem to be a famewhore/diva/shopaholic biatch).

Continuing in that vein, maybe she got knocked up so he'd finally cave and marry her.

They've been engaged since September (Labor Day weekend?) - so unless she's much further along than reports indicate - they were engaged before the pregnancy - or at least before they would have known of it.

Ugh. Must we really go there? I second that. I know that can happen, but I don't know their situation. It's a free board and everything, but I personally would like to stay away from man-trapping vagina discussions.

Yes, please. It may work fine when you and your pals are out to coffee, but it just don't work none on a public message board. Kindly consider the "man-trapping vaginas" discussions officially closed!

Ditto yours, whitefalcon. Just saw Mr. Damon in Syriana. He looks fantastic with a tan. Actually feeling a bit grumbly knowing Luciana now gets to go home to him every night for like, ever.

I do think that Luciana is latina. I do think some of the comments about her being a bartender are because of her darker (by Hollywood standards) skin. I noticed a lot of those type of comments when Nic Cage married his Korean wife, every article went out of its way to state that she was working in a sushi bar when they met. I do believe the fact that she was a bartender or what not would not have been in every publication if not for her non-white skin, or perhaps I am overly sensitive.

I don't know, I think it's more because she's not -gasp!- a celebrity. I've read in numorous places that Chris O'Donnell's wife is a teacher, and she's white. I think they point it out to show that he's with someone who's not an actress.

I don't see any racism in any of this....why not mention her profession when she's not in "the business"? It's been done before for other women (and men - remember Cher's "bagel boy"?) so there's nothing new here. And congrats to the happy couple. I do like Matt, he seems down to earth and real. And extra points for staying away from JLo, unlike his buddy Ben.
