I sort of think SMeyer just pulled the Jacob thing completely out of her ass, after people started making fun of Jacob fursploding. (tM Cleolinda).
I bet her thought process went something along the lines of "You're going to make fun of me? WELL, *stomps foot* I'LL SHOW YOU."

Well, Bella just woke up and "Edward! You stayed!" Gah. The dialogue makes Anakin and Padme sound positively Shakespearean.
And granted, I'm one of the few who actually LIKES the prequels, but the whole "I hate sand" crap was horrid. However, it's like something from Cary Grant next to Meyers's drivel.
Nerfherders. If Edward was around, I'd just as soon kiss a Wookiee!
(Sorry, it's getting really, REALLY bad. I'm still determined to read them all, though. Am I a masochist?)
Oh, and what the HELL is up with Sgt Swan? Hello, he's a cop! Vampire or not, he can't hear some dude sneaking into his house at night? Dude should have his ass fired!

Nah, Guin. Reading them all the way through gives you the authority to snark later.

*snort*
Oh, and I thought of something else: Cedric was in Hufflepuff, because he was fair, unselfish, a hardworker, etc. Edward? Total Slytherin. And not the cool kind of Slytherin.
(There's an interview in GQ with Pattinson. He mentioned that he had a bet with Rupert Grint to read the whole series, and Grint is now cursing Pattinson about it. Ha!)

I now have images of Snape flittering around Lilly asking her if he dazzles her. So is SMeyer still throwing a hissy fit about "Midnight Sun"? Has she given it up entirely for her mermaid series?

Apparently, she's writing a mermaid series where the mermarids...are different from traditional mermaids! Yeah, I bet none of you guys saw that one coming. ETA: Wait, wait - it gets better. Rumor has it, the mermaids will posses time traveling abilities. ROFL. Isn't it kind of difficult to time travel when you're dependent on water to survive? I mean, just from a practical standpoint, how do you know the body of water you're leaving from will be at one point you travel to?

Mermaid series? Oh, Jesus Christ. *facepalm* *headdesk* Is SM really Rose? Because... for Gawd's sake, y'all, it's like color-by-numbers cliches!
