I'm at the part where they just met up with the other vampires. I have to admit, now that Edward feels threatened, he's not so bad. Yeah, I wanna see a vampire fight, dammit!!! Let's see some violence here! ("Everbody was vampire fighting! Those fangs were fast as lightening!")
I think the problem is, Edward has absolutely no personality whatsoever.
Mermaids? Oh good god. I miss V.C. Andrews. The REAL V.C. Andrews-not the shitty ghostwriter her family hired so they didn't lose the cashcow.
(OT: see the movie, Mermaids with Cher, Winona Ryder, and a really young Christina Richi. Total chick-flic, but Fan-freaking-TASTIC.)

A series about mermaids would be so awesome... ly snarktastic! So if her vampires can walk about in daylight, I'm guessing her mermaids can walk about on land? That would be handy for the time travelling and all. I mean, time travel would be kinda boring if you're just limited to bodies of water.
