Oh FFS. I posted this article about Kate Gosselin in her thread a couple of weeks ago that annoyed me. They made sure to include a close up of her make-up free face and basically said she looked like shit, when in reality she looked pretty good. There's this tone like -- how dare women go out in public not looking perfect?! that's really aggravating.

I think Drew and Reese look fantastic and that condescending tone of the article makes me rage. I'm tired of this race-to-lose-the-baby weight shit the media perpetuates.

People.com recently showed some pics of Camila McConaughey on a red carpet somewhere, and the copy gushed about how she'd just given birth 12 weeks ago and you couldn't even tell.
I was heartened to see that the comments were unanimously in favor of People.com shutting the hell up and giving some thought to jumping off the "lose the baby weight before the umbilical cord falls off" bandwagon.

I think Drew and Reese look great. The pressure is so stupid.

Aaaand Jezebel has undergone another crappy redesign. As soon as you get used to the format they change it.

Yeah, all the Gawker Media sites have undergone the redesign except Gawker. I've gotten used to it, Kotaku and Deadspin have been using the format for awhile, but I really wish they would quit with all the changes.

So when did Perez become a TV personality? I was flipping through the other day and came across him looking COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than back in the day. When I picture Perez Hilton, I think of an overweight, bleached-blonde gossip blogger. Is he "legitimate" now?

I'm tired of this race-to-lose-the-baby weight shit the media perpetuates. The thing that drives me up a wall is "So-and-so FLAUNTS her post-baby body!!!", when it's just some random paparazzi picture of the actress in question walking down the street in jeans. Even if she called the paps herself, that way of putting it is so damn obnoxious. Yes, existing in public after having a baby is FLAUNTING yourself.

Many of these sites are being redesigned to fit into the the mobile and tablet formats. Many, many sites are doing that instead of having to create an app for their sites.

Except the Kinja-based redesign is MUCH MUCH more annoying and less pleasing on my iPhone than the previous version. Case in point, the default setting is ALWAYS viewing "recommended" posts rather than "latest," so virtually every time I visit Jezebel.com (or m.jezebel.com,) I'm either going to see stories I've already seen or have to switch/click "latest."
Once Gawker embraces it, I think they're going to lose a LOT of readers/commenters.
Also, Lindy West edited her post about the Pitch Perfect sequel to clarify that calling the cast "a bunch of medium talent randoms" was a "bad joke" but left alone the sentence where she said the cast would be reprising their "rolls."
SERIOUSLY?!?!
