The Gossip Sites : From DListed to Perez

I haaaate Perez Hilton. I won't click a link if it goes to his site, since I've no desire to add to his traffic. Hateful little troll.

My favorite site is Dlisted, since it's funny and has such frequent updates. Just Jared is the best site for pictures, especially to look at what everyone's wearing at the award shows.

Does Oh No They Didn't count? That's the only one I read, it seems to pull all the various stuff from every other website into one source.

ONTD is what I read, I don't read any of the others. That's where everything that matters gets posted all in one. I am never out of the loop when reading ONTD.

Though, the commenters there are smug bitchy teens.

He doesn't have as many pictures because he's being sued by a number of people/agencies for using their pictures without permission, attribution or payment.

He's a sleaze who's not nearly as cute or influential as he thinks he is.

Sometimes when I have nothing to do, I try to go to Drunken Stepfather, but it's just too hetero male for me.

I also like What Would Tyler Durden Do, but I like Kirsten Dunst and he hates her with a passion, so that irks me.

I actually like Perez. No no no, put down those tomatoes and pitchforks! I'm sure he's a douche in real life but in the world of snark, I can't say he's any worse than countless bloggers and some regular joes who post on forums. He's never claimed to be a journalist, objective, or fair. He's always been upfront about the kind of site he runs. He's as nasty and ugly and insecure as the celebrities he posts about but if you look at the history of gossip reporting (Hedda Hopper, Walter Winchell, Rex Reed, Confidential magazine), it's rife with sleazey conduct and heartless grudges acted out by less-than-attractive jerks.

Does anyone else read Buddyhead? They don't update very much, so I only read them a few times a year, and I don't know about 60% of the bands/people they talk about, but it's just so funny and mean I can't get enough.

I love justjared[/color]. He has frequent updates. He doesn't do the snark like Michael over at Dlisted[/color], but it's good and he has links as well to other sites.
