Mulva, did you ever sell anything on Ebay? If you had signed up initially with a credit card, sold something, and then cancelled the credit card, you might still be getting charges from an Ebay seller's fee.

Has anyone seen this?I saw an item recently on Ebay that I was interested in purchasing, but the price was much lower with this seller than I've seen anywhere else. The item description didn't say if the item was used or not, so I emailed the seller and asked. The response? "Please refer to the product listing. Thanks!"WTF? Why couldn't they just answer the question, yes or no? Even though I was irritated with that response, I emailed the seller back saying it was not made clear in the product listing if the item was used or not. I just wanted clarification because this seller was selling it for so much cheaper than every other seller. I mean duh, if it were in the listing, I would not have been writing in the first place. I didn't hear back, I didn't bother anymore with it, but that was infuriating.

Judge Judy rules. And I can't believe that woman had the balls to get an attitude and say that the auction was for a photo only and that she was therefore free of blame. It's stuff like that that makes the rest of the responsible bidders and sellers scared to use eBay. I once won a planetarium thingy that projects constellations on the ceiling, and when I got it the part that the light bulb attaches to didn't work. I contacted the seller, who apologized profusely and refunded my money after I mailed it back to her. Why can't it always be like that?

I have a question about reserves... I bid on a laptop case, am the highest bidder, and received a message from the seller saying "This item has a RESERVE. If you have any questions regarding this please feel free to contact me."
Now, I haven't eBayed for a while, but doesn't it show up on the auction page if you haven't met the reserve?
Then, I saw that the seller edited the auction to say "This item does have a RESERVE that is not listed. Please e-mail for more details."
So, I e-mailed asking what the reserve is and received no response (although it's only been one day).
The auction ends tomorrow, so I'm thinking about canceling my bids, since I kind of think the seller may have posted the item for sale, forgot to set a reserve, and is just trying to TELL me there's a reserve if they don't get the amount they're looking for. But who knows.
Help, anyone? ;D

Kw, the auction page, as well as My eBay, should say whether the item has reached its reserve price.

That's not legit, kw. If the item doesn't have "Reserve not met" on the auction page itself, then there is no reserve. This seller sounds like a flake and I would cancel my bid if I were you.
Oh and Mulva? You need to check into that.

I would bet that the reason that she did not put a reserve on there thru Ebay is because you have to pay a fee for an item to have a reserve. So she is putting it up unofficially, and that is not right, IMO. I would cancel my bid because that is shady.
I am so pissed right now. This morning, I bought a Pottery Barn Kids dress for a birthday party on 3/25. AFTER I purchased it, I got an email from the seller stating that she is on vacation and will not return until 3/21! Maybe its just me, but I think that she should have either frozen her auctions (you can do that, can't you) or put a notice in the item listing that shipping is delayed. I sent her an email stating that I was not happy with this and that if she cannot ship my item, then I want to cancel the auction. Am I being unreasonable?
I always ship everything I sell within 2 business days, and if I knew I was going to be on vacation, I would PUT IT IN THE LISTING!

I agree it should have been in the listing that she was going to be away.
I've had a strange situation -- I completed a transaction and got my item, and then left feedback. The seller hadn't yet left me feedback but I expected that once she received mine, she'd leave feedback for me. Nothing yet and it's been a couple of weeks. I checked her feedback and she does leave it for others. I feel weird begging for it but I'm trying to build up my rating (100% but only 32 unique feedbacks) so I could really use the positive. As a seller, I follow up with a "just checking to make sure you got the item -- looking forward to your positive feedback" type email. But as a buyer what do I say? "Hi, I paid you, you sent the item, I've received it and left you feedback. Now it's your turn!"? It's petty, I know, but every little bit helps, you know?

I had that happen once - the seller sold a lot of stuff, and did their feedbacks every few weeks, and I just missed a batch so it took three weeks to get the feedback (I managed to complete two other transactions from bidding to feedback complete in the time it took this seller to deign to give me feedback). Then again, the seller took three weeks to send my item, so it was just a pain in the ass all around.
