Thanks Kateln. That's definitely part of it (although I don't have many, I know that they close shitty and keep operating in the background.) The screen visibility is my hugest peeve with the phone, though.
And yeah, I was thinking that I'd wait until the new iPhone was announced. I'm not cool enough to need the latest so I'll wait till prices drop on the 4s.

Have any of the iPhone people installed the iOS6? Just wondering if people have had any issues with it yet.

I haven't yet, my mom has. She was annoyed because it moved around all her apps so she had to put them back where she wanted them. She's also having a hard time figuring out the new map.

I need to have a pro look at my MacBook but I can't find anyone in town. There is an Apple store within a reasonable driving distance, but is the Genius Bar worth it?

They've always been really helpful when ever I had to take my computer in. There's a local chain up here called PeachMac which is also really helpful when I had a problem (I broke off the charger in my old iBook last spring). I don't know if they would be closer.

Thanks for the tip! I wasn't sure if going to the Apple store with a six year old Mac is like taking a 10 year old car to the dealer for regular maintenance or not. As for PeachMac, I'll look into them and compare. I think the Apple store in Jacksonville might still be closer, though.

I've had nothing but good experiences at the Genius bar. They have all sorts of parts from all different models of computer stashed there, so they shouldn't have a problem with yours. If you do decide to go there, do make an appointment. The ones around here at least get crazy busy.

Although my iBook was ancient they would answer questions about whether or not it was an issue the genius bar could address.

I did not know where to post this--here or Current Events, but shit just got real with Facebook. Has anyone else found their private PMs on their Timeline? I found several this afternoon, my husband, friends, and realtor all found PMs mixed in with old wall posts. Facebook is flat out denying these are PMs, but Twitter is blowing up with people who are finding their PMs available for anyone to see. I can say with 100% certainty that these are messages that I sent privately, not wall postings.
