Does anyone know if it's possible to remove Tumblr followers so that they aren't visible in your follower count? I started a Tumblr and already have two porn blogs following me: I suspect some others might be spam blogs too, but the preview photos of those two make it clear. I tried to look up information about Tumblr's block/ignore but haven't yet managed to find a good explanation of what are all the things they do, though I get the feeling that I might be stuck with those spam followers until the end of Tumblr. None of them has liked a single thing I've posted, which is apparently a thing spam followers do, they're just there. Go to your followers list, each blog has an ignore link under their name. Also, there should be an x or ignore button next to their name on their posts. When you click it, you can report them for harassment, spam or nothing. If they use tags, download tumblr savior and add the tags you want to ignore. They can still post, but the pictures won't show up on your dashboard.

Thanks for the advice! I've started clicking ignore, it feels like 2/3 of the blogs that followed me will be going on that list. Ignoring doesn't remove them from the follower count which is a shame, having so many spam accounts makes it tough to see how my blog is actually doing.
I read that a long list of likes can be suspicious, could it also be suspicious if a blog likes something I posted weeks ago and then something new? When I've gotten real followers, I've seen some of them like/reblog posts in a way that showed them clearly looking at newer stuff first and then going to the next page, but just a couple of likes of posts weeks apart seems odd (I also decided to ignore blogs that I can't remember ever liking a single post - if they were real accounts, wouldn't they just unfollow me if nothing was interesting?). I don't know what to think of a blog that only ever likes and never reblogs.

Does anyone have any experience with Verizon FIOS? I have Time Warner and am pissed right now. I should be asleep but due to a service outage, my alarm system is beeping at me every 10 seconds because there is no phone. Time Warner has had service issues several times this week. I don't have many options in my area due to the monopoly that Windstream has.

We have FIOS. It's okay. I can't rave about it, but it's also not terrible. Pretty good uptime, kind of pricey - we have one of those bundled packages and probably don't need 40% of what we have. Our issue is more with the wifi but that's down to the routers, less the FIOS itself. I don't think the FIOS is as fast as they claim it is, though.

Nothing ever is. I never liked Cablevision, my last provider. I thought their service was terrible, and the field techs knew nothing at all. But I did live in a house that had the cable split far too many times before it got to me.
I did not even have to fight with them (verizon) when I had to replace the router.
You can probably cut off the phone service and get a voip provider, you might save some money. I was thinking of doing this. But I don't know if it would be cost effective over the course of a year, Since I would have to get a voip phone that doesn't interfere with wifi.

I need a good ringtone for text messaging that can be heard. Something high pitched and short would be nice. Right now I am using the chorus from a loud rock song, but it is a bit too long. Most things I find online are too long and unnecessarily dramatic.
Any suggestions?

Mine is the call of a barred owl. Other than occasionally leaving me confused as to whether it's my phone ringing or one of our resident owls hollering when I'm at home, it makes a distinctive ringtone.

Mine is a harp. I don't even know where it came from, it was just on the phone. 10 notes up and down, not dramatic, hubs had crickets on his. Chirp chirp.

I am thinking of getting an Ipad from my cellphone provider; it would be $20 tacked on per month to pay for it plus the service. Yea? Nay?
