The power cord for my MacBook Pro gave up the ghost today while I was in the middle of working on something huge and I had to go plunk down almost $100 to buy a new power cord. This is the third power cord I've had for this computer, which is 2.5 years old. I had to buy the power cord immediately because the battery is going out on the laptop and it has to be replaced soon, so it drains incredibly quickly if I don't have it plugged in. So I had to buy the power cord or I wouldn't have enough juice to finish the project in time. To replace the battery is $375, because the battery is made into the case. I love my Mac (I do a lot of design work, so all the Adobe products just work better on a Mac) but it f*cking pisses me off how expensive everything is and how it's not built to last. I've had a bad day. Boo for prisma- that really sucks! Chocolate or wine?

I went to yoga and bought some fancy hummus, so I've kept it at that. I got another piece of infuriating news, unrelated to Mac products, soon after I got home from buying the cord and that redirected my rage for the remainder of the evening. But, boy, I could go for some chocolate right now. I'm not responsible with it so I can't keep it around.

Yoga, chocolate and fancy hummus all sound good to me, prisma.
My Youtube to MP3 converter is telling me that "We are sorry, this service is not available from your jurisdiction." I am trying to copy Eurovision songs, so maybe it won't let me copy them because I'm not in Europe? I don't know...
Thoughts, ideas, solutions?

On my Mac, a program that I bought 10 minutes into my trial month was Audio Hijack. Basically, if it comes out of your computer's speakers, Audio Hijack records it, straight to mp3, if that's what you want.
Not sure if a Windows version exists, though.

I have great luck with Audacity Scroll down to option two and it will walk you through it. Great thing is, once you record the item, Audacity will let you edit it if need be.

Asking for a friend* in the name of science:
Suppose one receives a long email covering a number of issues. One replies within the original body in another color, as one does, for the sake of brevity, and, frankly, one likes the color. One is interrupted when said email is 98% completed. Later, one remembers the unfinished email and pulls up the draft on an iPad. The reply portions are no longer in color AND THEY ARE IN ALL CAPS. So, one appears crazy, ranting, and old.
If one sends such an email, and the recipient opens it on a phone or an iPad, will the reply portion appear in all caps?
*It's totally me.
ETA: One was under a deadline and had to send the email. Rewritten with paragraphs! At least the sun's over the yardarm.

Seeking information from the Great Greecie Hive Mind:
I want to buy a Chromebook. I've had Acer and Dell netbooks and laptops and have been happy with them. Are their Chromebooks good? Any other brands you can recommend (or not)?

I gave one of my kids my old laptop, and now all of my browsing history is Pokemon! WTF, I have tried to un-sync my account in Mozilla but it doesn't seem to be working. Mozilla doesn't seem to save MY browsing history, just the juvenile one. I keep ending up playing slitherio somehow instead of working... help me...
