CBC Gem is geolocated for Canada, according to its website. I was specifically looking for a way around some of the streaming mini concerts, interviews, or other materials on radio channels like ICI Musique. A lot of podcast-type content was available, but there were a few things that I wanted that I couldn’t have. /Veruca Salt.

Did we ever get an answer to the VPN question? There are some movies I want to watch on Netflix that aren't available on US Netflix.

Any ideas to help seeing a tablet screen in bright daylight or sunshine due to covid my job is now fully outdoors( calling to people in person can’t go inside) and it’s stressing me more than it should. And I need reading glasses so sunglasses won’t work, can’t find anything to help in settings either..
(Also expect a monumental rant when it’s cold, wet, windy and raining!)

Fitz, welcome to my hell...
My digital mixing console has one set of knobs that work on whatever channel is selected. The selected active page is displayed on an LCD screen. It is literally invisible at soundcheck for outdoor shows in the afternoon sun. No amount of tweaking the settings makes it visible.
The only thing that works is being in shade. At mix position, that is usually one of those folding pop-up tents. When I am onstage using my iPad to control the guys’ monitor mixes, if I stand with my back to the sun, and hold the iPad in my own shadow, I can almost make out what I am looking at.
I humbly suggest channelling your inner Winnie the Pooh, and wander around with a black umbrella to carry your own shade. Humming “I’m Just a Little Black Rain Cloud” to yourself might raise suspicion, but if you bark out the occasional “TUT TUT! LOOKS LIKE RAIN!” I think you’ll be okay....😜

Ah yes the find my own shade dance I need a tune you gave me a tune ( It’s just jump the left and step the right.....) I had this one in my head already now I have two tunes! I’ll bring beer to our hell. Edit cubanitafresca that’s not a bad idea at all and looks cool enough too. Now watch me order this and never see sunshine over here again! ( orders layers of wet gear and mini portable tents for shelter to lug about grr Irish weather*!) *I know heatwaves, bushfires, mad hurricanes so much more and worse, 365 days of dull cold and damp with maybe 35 of them with sunshine too hot and bright isnt horrible, I should shut up and go to the weather thread.

The clip on faux-wayfarers are cool and all (and I order clip-on sunglasses by the score on eBay), but beware: polarized lenses in sunglasses black out screens unless you hold the device (or your head) at bizarre angles.
Thanks, Dr. Land!

Thanks, Dr. Land! So the see the screen dance goes on. I’m sort of worried if I moan about bright days and sunshine I might scare such wonderous and fleeting things away from Ireland forever... Anyway to sum up screens in daylight are a bitch no matter what!

Quite a number of songs have vanished off my iTunes library, where have they gone and can I get them back? I use iTunes cards to buy stuff rather than credit card I’m rather pissed off because a lot of Bowie stuff is missing!
Edit Much more than Bowie missing but I’ve thanks to a google found out how to retrieve them Panic over until next time!
