Gunsmoke has finally been beaten by SVU, which just got renewed for a 21st (!!!) season. I guess especially heinous crimes are a neverending well. I haven't watched since Raul Esparza left but honestly, good for them.

Just from the first 4 months of this year, they can do at least 10 episodes.

My money is on: * The College Scam Scandal * Useless, bordering on criminal redacted reports * Bring back Uncle Joe Biden to discuss "uncomfortable affection"

Think of the show synergy! They can do it Chicago PD. They could also do a "the one that got away" episode that riffs off of R. Kelly and his hostages girlfriends. Not to mention the college scam, Liam Neesom hunting black men to beat, Michael Jackson's Leaving Neverland documentary revealing new victims and evidence of his criminal behavior, and the one that'll have a shocking twist! Mom appears to be drunk and endangering her child, but actually has MS. That'll be the Selma Blair one. Call me NBC, I can write for you.

I wish when I clicked on this thread the "duh-DUNK" musical cue played.
Original L&O is still my go-to when I don't know what to watch. I'm a Lenny Briscoe fangirl and proud of it!!

I don't watch L&O or any of its many permutations, but even I hear the duh-DUNK music every time I see it mentioned.

I always chuckle when they say their obligatory "This is just a coincidence" disclaimer. LOL They worried about Epstein suing them?

I always chuckle when they say their obligatory "This is just a coincidence" disclaimer. LOL I immediately try to figure out what headlines the episode is totally not ripped from. With older (early 90s) episodes of Original Recipe L&O, sometimes it's hard - I don't necessarily remember the news from back then!
