Yeah, they do, Moldy.
I feel your pain. No VCR here, either.
I was glancing through the posts over there and it seems like everyone really liked this ep. I don't know, it seemed very off to me. Warrick and Ecklie weren't "on". Maybe it was b/c I knew it was directed by QT, that I subconciously went out of my way to find reasons to make it different? I don't know.

Did anyone else feel that Tarantino just ripped off the Alias episode where Sydney was stuck in a coffin. It was a recent episode too! Yeah he added extra gory stuf but geez. I thought that was blatant and not too exciting. It could be because I don't relly like Nick, the character or the actor. The pay raise deal made me dislike him and Jorja Fox.

I really enjoyed it, as much as one can "enjoy" watching a likable character being mentally and physically tortured for two hours.
It left me on the edge of my seat, and I really felt like I was watching a movie, and a good one at that. I thought it was better than many theatrical releases out there.
I'm not much on knowing the "works" of various directors, and as much as I've heard of QT and know some of his stuff, his direction was neither a plus or minus for me. It was just a very well done two hours of tv to me.
And I felt really really bad for Nick, not only for the physical pain, but the emotional freakouts he was having. The claustrophobia alone would do me in.

Actually, he ripped off some made-for-tv movie he saw in the 1970s. At least that's what he said on Conan. I can't remember the name of it, though. But he did have a story about how one of the editors of CSI just happened to be the son of that director of the tv movie that Tarantino ripped off.
I'm just glad the CSIs didn't break out into martial arts at any time. I was totally expecting it.

The CSI:Miami sucked. I had a headache by the time it was over. The things I'll watch in order to see the cast of Oz...stupid sexy Dean Winters!

It was awesome; I only wish I had taped it instead of taping "Without a Trace," which was pure crap. But CSI was really, really good; I was on the edge of my seat even though I knew they weren't going to off Nick. The freakouts really got me, and I only hope they deal with it next season instead of pushing the "reset" button.
And George Eads rocked the episode.
MrsOldManBalls, what happened on CSI:Miami? I can't watch David Caruso, who left CSI? Hopefully Horatio. I too wanted to see Dean Winters but I just can't watch that pile of crap show.

Me too. Especially with the ants! I would have died right then.
My boyfriend watches CSI:Miami, but I always have to leave the room when it's on. David Caruso makes me so angry. Seriously, nobody in the world enunciates words like he does. And he never looks at anyone when he's talking to them, he's always staring off into space, or looking at the ground or the sky or some shit. It's so rare that anything on TV brings out the hate in me like this, but he succeeds.

And you might forgive Caruso (might) if you knew he was being directed that way, but I read a long-winded piece about the show which essentially said that all the annoying mannerisms are his own idea. The high noon stance, the disjointed line readings, and don't forget the Sunglasses of Justice.
I didn't watch the finale last night, but on TWOP they're talking like Calleigh is gone. What happened?

The cliffhanger made it look as if Calleigh quit her job. One of the cops (the one who used to be Ray's partner) killed himself in front of her (okay, technically her back was to him) , but I'm not clear on why. The way the story unfolded it seemed like he couldn't live with himself because he put a gun to her head at a crime scene where he'd taken a piece of evidence.
It was shitty at best.

Wait. Dean Winters played David Caruso's brother? I think Winters is younger but they look the same age. How bizzare is that?
