While I still enjoy CSI: Original Flava, I have to admit to a startling amount of love for CSI: NY, especially now that the Blue Filter Of Doom has been conveniently lost.
Now, if only HoCaine could be conveniently lost.

CSI: NY holds the most love in my heart, but I still enjoy Las Vegas. Horatio used to bug the hell out of me, but lately Miami has grown on me.
I don't know if I've grown used to his mannerisms, or if H's castmates are diluting the crazy. I'm trying to appreciate the little details he throws in, such as the little smiles here and there; but it's hard when he keeps using the standing tilt, Shatneresque pause, and sunglasses of doom.
As a longtime hater of mannered acting, I can't figure out what ever possessed him to take this route. I don't think the affectations are the result of laziness or ineptitude. Perhaps it's just good old-fashioned stupidity.

Perhaps it's just good old-fashioned stupidity. My pet theory has long been stupidity. That, or he's an irrationally big fan of Shatner and his 'acting'. I can't decide which idea is scarier.

I'm a minority, I know it, but I do love me some David Caruso. The things you all are finding mannered and twee are the things I like. They're the same things he did on NYPD Blue. It's his style.
I do wish though that Horatio would quit being noble and just jump Yelena and be done with it.

Stephen Baldwin is on this week, and the promo is billing him as "not your usual suspect".
Oy.
Though I admit that I am curious as to which fetish-of-the-week they'll use this time around.

Wow, Mr. Baldwin has sure packed on the pounds, huh? Yikes. I used to love him on Young Riders, too. The Southern accent sounds good on him, though.
I missed the part from when they interview Baldwin to that guy who looked like the dad of the other dead kid being incrimited. Could someone give me a short recap? Where did they find that guy?
Did anyone else figure out the kid killed his brother as soon as they heard about the pee clothes in the washing machine? Nick couldn't have been right about the kid, of course. That would have been too easy.
"I would like an apology." "I'm sorry... you feel that way."
What the heck was that?

I used to love him on Young Riders, too. Yesss! I am not the only person in the world who has seen/liked the show Young Riders. My existence feels much more normal at this point. Oh, and ... Topic? I now have about equal love for Las Vegas and NY. I'm not sure if that's wrong. I mean, they gave us Gary Sinise, people. They really wanted us to like it. And this season of Original CSI has really not been doing it for me. I don't know why. It hurts me, but they need to step it up. I know that's hard because once you've done a show about people dressing up as animals in order to get off, what's left that's going to shock us? Maybe hooking Gil up with a dominatrix? Oh, wait ...

The CBS site has a nice interview with Robert David Hall (Dr. Robbins), 'CSI' Doctor Talks Role. He addresses his role, the 'CSI effect', and some personal background. I didn't realize he parlayed a one-time spot into a recurring role.

I loved the Brass-centric episode!

Me too MrsOldManBalls! This episode was so sad because it seemed like Brass was trying to help Ellie but didn't know how. It broke my heart when he left that note by her door, but then I really lost it when they showed what it said. It was so sad because they rarely show that side of Brass.
Thought I loved last night's episode, I hope it was just a one-time thing and not a test for what could possibly become CSI:LA. Enough is enough! Seriously, Miami and NY suck, so we don't need another CSI:jr.
