That was a good update Mad Elf. The only other thing would be that Lane and Zach broke up. Luke tried to call Lisa (the kids mom, I think that's her name), but all he got was the answering machine. So he's trying to contact them.
It was an okay episode. Nothing important really happened.

Posting to remind everyone the girls are back tonight.
Lets hope they address Lane and her man's melt down.

I haven't been watching this season because the only channel I get in my dorm room is some random religious channel. It's very odd. Could anyone tell me what's going on with the relationships in the show- Luke/Lorelai, Rory/Logan etc? Pretty please?

Well, clearly it's a sign from God that you should worship him 24/7, vile sinner! (do other dorms in the building get the gals - viewing parties!). Luke and Lorelai are engaged, but Lor didn't want to set a date until she and Rory made up. Which they recently did. Snafu to that plan is that Luke has found himself with long-lost science-geeky daughter (the actress manages not to grate that stereotype, at least for me) from a 14-ish year ago relationship. He has not told Lorelai yet - dun dun DUN! Rory/Logan are OFF - she thought they were on a break, he thought they were breaking up. Jess came back into town with his book and kinda, sorta redeemed himself by pointing out that being a slacker was not true to Rory's self and hanging out and partying all the time with Logan's rich-boy friends wasn't her either. This was the catalyst to a big fight between them and Rory getting off her duff and pursuing a job at the paper, Yale again and re-union with Mom. Meanwhile, even though I hate been spoiled, I am super-excited about the casting spoilers for Luke's babymama. My long-time crush/teenage character idol of one Mrs. Sherilyn Fenn! Given this show's penchant for crazy townies and pop-cult references, they could easily drop a midget or Twin Peaks reference... (I can see hating the kid as device, for sure, Jen, but the actress didn't bug in her one appearance so far...)

I'm actually hating Luke's science geek kid. It's all just a little too "Who's the Boss" for me at this point where it's time for everyone to shit or get off the pot but instead they haul out a "cute" kid and find yet another reason for the couple to not make it down the aisle. Freakin' get together already! I don't have the patience anymore.
I'm glad Logan is gone and Rory is going to return to Yale. At least I hope he's gone. The way she managed to get a job at the newspaper was one of those things that would get you arrested in real life but is adorable on the TV. Or something.
I just want my girls back! More Emily & Loralei scenes. More Loralei & Rory. Not so much angst and crying.

Thanks huntergrayson! I just watched GG at a friend's and it was pretty good. I don't have night classes on Tuesdays this semester, so I'll probably be keeping up. Next week's ep looks like utter crap, though.
The actress Sherilyn Fenn was also Jess' father's girlfriend at the end of season three. She had short blonde hair then and also had a somewhat weird little girl with glasses. Strange...
I heard that GG will most likely come back next season, but Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino may not be coming back, as they are starting some other show.

I want to know how that wedding dress looked so loverly on the hanger and like caca on Loreli?
Logan loves Rory. Could any man resist her?
Paris and Doyle fighting was awesome.
Stupid shark jumping unknown fathering of child story!!!
Wah, no Richard or Emily.
Man, Lane looks older when she's pissed.

Sometimes I am just appalled at how bad of an actress Alexis Bledel is. Good lord, the crying scene in the school psychologist's office was supposed to be somewhat campy but it came off looking like a high school play.
It didn't seem like it fit her which is bizarre because she's a thin woman so if they find a dress that makes her look fat, that's a really bad dress. It was making her boobs look too big and it gave her a gut. Not an attractive dress at all. Oh well, she won't wear it. They wouldn't show it to us now if she's actually going to wear it.

Yeah, I hated that dress from the moment I saw it. It looked (at least in the shot we saw of it first, and at that angle) like there was some crazy flower or ruffle hanging off the boob part. Wtf and why? It would be a nice dress if the top part weren't so fluffy and ruffly. And yeah, it did not do Lorelai any favours, either.
I find it extremely unrealistic that a university as big as Yale (it's big, isn't it? I really don't know but I'd imagine it would be) would have the resources or time to give psychiatrist appointments to every kid who drops out unexpectedly and then comes back (unless it's really hard or rare to take a break from Yale... I guess the people who go to Yale aren't really the people who need to work for an extra semester to be able to afford to go back, or anything). I would think a lot of people might take an extra semester off to travel or work. But maybe I'm wrong.
Also, I'm surprised at how few people here hate Luke's stupid kid. I thought she was an annoying piece of crap. The helmet, the annoying science project, her mannerisms... ugh. I think she was kind of ugly, too. Or maybe that was just the extreme annoyance clouding my vision. I HATE that kid and will be angry if Luke DOES spend more time with her. So! Annoying!

Thank god other people thought the dress made Lorelai look fat, because I didn't want to be the mean guy being like, oh, man, that girl looks horrible and then attacked (I still residual fear from the discussion after my film class in which this one guy, who was a kinda a jerk, dared to say that Doris Day wasn't all that pretty. All the girls ripped him apart and were like, if Doris isn't pretty, what chance do we have? - but she's really not) But it really did her no favors. It was all the crazy ruffles and fluff up top - I think there was like some padding underneath the sequins but then a section with no sequins and padding , so it just looked bad.
There's a difference between taking a planned leave of abscence that you meet with an advisor and say "this is when I'm coming back, this is what class I'll take, etc" and going indeterminately AWOL after you break the law, so that might be it. Then again, I had to withdraw from my spring semester at USC and am back now with no psych evaluation.
I loved Paris's "If you need love, hire a hooker" line and Lane's buy the chair, freedom hater hard sell. Especially because I definitely see the latter happening in the current political climate.
