Was that really R Kelly doing the Trapped in the Closet thing for Craig the other night? If so, I may just forgive him a bit for how much he sucks. But you'd think he'd want to steer clear of embarrassing sex scandal jokes in his situation. Don't worry—you won't have to forgive R. Kelly for how much he sucks - the singer wasn't him. I wish they had revealed who it was because I thought he was really talented. He sealed the deal with "Maybe he was wearing Hammer pants. Who remembers Hammer pants?"' and "That's not how gay works." That segment was the funniest thing I've seen on TDS in ages.

That was fantastic. I thought the singer's timing was off, and yet it worked somehow.

Oh, awesome!
I just hope the video player works better than the one on the main Comedy Central site - I almost always have problems with it.

Daily Show and Colbert Report ReturningPer joint statement: "We would like to return to work with our writers. If we cannot, we would like to express our ambivalence, but without our writers we are unable to express something as nuanced as ambivalence."

I really wished the strike had ended before it came to this. I'm not looking forward to a compromised Comedy Central line up.

I really wished the strike had ended before it came to this. I'm not looking forward to a compromised Comedy Central line up. I know. On the one hand I'm happy the show is returning, and that the non-writing production staff's of these shows who are out of work, are going back. But on the other hand I hate that they have to cross picket lines to do so--because I understand, and agree with, what the WGA is trying to do.

I know it's complicated but I'm still disappointed. Mostly because if it was some other very public progressive crossing a picket line, I'm sure Stewart and Colbert would totally cut them up.

Exactly. I think ultimately I'm looking at Letterman who seems to have done this the right way--he's returning to work, getting his staff back to work--both writing and non-writing, and did so without crossing the picket line. Why was he able to do so, but not Conan, Leno, Stewart, Colbert et all?
