The truth was, Rosa Parks didn’t refuse to move because she was tired. They did at least acknowledge that part at some point. |

To a certain degree. But they still didn’t bother to explain then why it had to be that particular date in time that Rosa Parks would refuse to move. If the bad guy had managed to stop her from boarding the bus or kept that bus driver from driving the bus (presumably, because another bus driver might not have been so hard core), Parks would have just waited for another time where the circumstances were right so why was it so important that it had to be that night? They never explained why.

And that if this is a kids programme as such then kids are tough little nuts!

Is anyone else really bored by this season so far? I was so excited for a female Doctor, but I feel like the writing and plots have been kind of meh. There were so many clunky Trump jokes in this latest big spider episode, I was constantly rolling my eyes — at one point I believe Mr. Big shot a gun & said, "How's *this* for fire and fury??!" Hilarious. That book is so 100 news cycles ago.
God help me, this season is kind of making me miss Steven Moffat.

I don't hate the new doctor, I just think she's dull and bland. She fades into the woodwork every time her companions speak. It's not sexism, I felt the same way about the 5th doctor.

Goddammit! I was hoping to get back into this show after having given up on it halfway through 12 and it sounds like 13 is 12 with a vagina. I'm still going to give it a try. Now that my expectations are lowered, I might find myself enjoying it in the "it's not that bad" sort of way. 10 and Rose will always be my favorites, although I think it was Rose's BF and family that really made it all work. I don't know. Maybe it was just the newness of the series that made it seem so awesome back then.
