UO: I'm really not liking what they did to my formerly beloved Better Call Saul. To the point where I think the shark has been jumped and I'm probably not going to watch anymore episodes. It went down hard. The disintegration was almost as complete as what happened in the second season of 24 (or the infamous third season of Alias.) Character assassination, unbelievable plots, contrivance. I am a totally bummed out ex-fan.

What don't you like about Better Call Saul specifically? I am really enjoying the latest episodes because I feel like so much of the backstory is being filled in - the Salamancas, the building of the meth lab, Jimmy's shift to working with undesirables. I'm still a fan!

I think it's just that the entire tenor of the series changed for me this season and not in a good way. Chuck was a pathetic antagonist for Jimmy in some ways, but his presence gave the show a focus it doesn't have now. My biggest complaint is what they did to Kim's character; she's made some choices that just don't gel with what we've seen of her in the other three seasons. And I hate everything related to the Gus/Mike storyline. Never thought I would say this about those two but their whole entanglement bores me.
Yep, the bitter is strong with me.
ETA: Okay, just got done with the season finale and can say it warmed my cold little heart a tad. That final scene was killer. So maybe I'm not done watching.

I understand the popularity of Game of Thrones, but I can’t wait until it’s over.

I have no idea if this is popular or un but, DAMN!, NBC will not stop trying to make Jenna Bush happen. She now has the post that Kathie Lee just vacated. Did anyone particularly enjoy JB on the regular Today show and crave MORE? It doesn't exactly affect me since I don't watch, but I can't help but notice her longevity and wonder why.

I don't watch, but she seems to have that perky 'morning show' personality that goes a long way with their audience. And I feel like those shows (Today, GMA) don't have a huge turnover unless forced to (Matt Lauer), a contract dispute or retirement. I have zero interest in this show.

I think Jenna Bush is pretty well suited to the morning show thing too. The few times I've seen her with Hoda, I thought they had nice co-host chemistry.

My unpopular TV opinion is that it's possible to live without mainstream TV. When my combined Cable/Internet bill reached $300 I gave up cable. At first I used Direct TV & Netflix streaming, but I gave those up because I wasn't watching them. I've discovered YouTube and now spend my TV time watching a wide variety of videos. I've learned all about the Mandela Effect, unexplained missing person cases, scary/weird/paranormal activity, keto cooking, and how to live in a van.

I really want to cut the cable cord, but Mr. Ladybug is a college sports fan, and we haven't figured out how to get games on the TV. He doesn't want to watch basketball on his phone unless absolutely necessary, which he had to do on a Boy Scout camping trip during March Madness We already have Netflix, Hulu, and Prime and I hate spending so much money on channels we NEVER watch. We can easily add Starz and HBO to our Prime membership, and they offer a lot of pro sports packages too.
