Glad I am not the only one who thinks JG is getting more and more annoying as time goes on. I think it is her self assured ' look at me I'm a star' swagger and her bigger than huge ego which beams onscreen nowadays.

There's no place for a baby in a spy show, period. The moment they decided to write that pregnancy into the show was the straw that broke the camel's back.

Yes, as soon as I heard JG was pregnant I immediately thought it would be the death of the show. Now we have lost Vaughn and Weiss it is dying an even faster death.

Guess I'm the only Jen lover. I think she's adorable, and I really don't see any arrogance coming from...the way she walks. And I don't think being self-assured/confidant in who you are is a bad thing. I don't see an ego. I see the same cute, happy woman. I don't get these claims from people that she's arrogant, stuck-up and a ****. To each their own. I hate some actresses (like Kate Bosworth) that people think are the most adorable.
The show isn't great anymore, I will say that. But I'm sticking with it to the end, which will probably be this season. I never liked Michael Vartan like other people, but I loved his chemistry with Jen.
The Alias man I liked the most was Sark. Always will love that character. He was awesome.
ETA: Alias ratings are doing modestly but not terribly.

I was going to stick with this show, but this past episode showed that it will be really difficult to so do. This new "Syd, Jr." has the exact same story? Where she works for a fake CIA organization and has her own Sloane? Are the writers behind the show that creatively bankrupt?
I understand that JG can't run around and kick ass being as pregnant as she is, but there are a number of characters on this show that can take over in that department - it is always entertaining when they put Marshall in the field. For the love of God, send Jack out there. Spy Daddy always kicks ass when he's out in the field. I'd rather watch Dixon and Sloane running around blowing things up than watch Syd's story all over again, only without a compelling actress playing the part or the wonderful dynamic with her father.
I'll probably stick with it because I adore Victor Garber and I'd pretty much watch him in anything. But I think this show has moved down to "record and watch when you got the time" rather than appointment tv.

I haven't seen the last episode as yet, but if I were to force myself to watch now it would only be for Victor G too. Too many good characters have left and I can't stand to watch JG overact anymore. I do still adore season 1 and 2 though.

Someone told me that they think the show will be cancelled before they can even get to the end of this season. Is that true? I think the last episode they aired got a rating of, like, 4.2 or something horribly low like that.
Thanks to DVD though I have become obsessed with this show, even though I can't understand half of it and I keep rewinding so I can review and make sure I know what they're talking about. I really like that Sydney is such a kick-ass female without being all abrasive and ball-busterish. Going by cliche would've made her a (b)witch.
I'm watching Season Five that's currently airing, Season One re-runs that air on the weekends, and Season Two on DVD. I haven't gotten to Seasons Three and Four yet.

I don't think ABC will prematurely pull the plug on Alias - it has never gotten stellar ratings, and they know that Thursdays are competitive. They've pretty much done everything but officially announce that this will be the last season for the show, and I think ABC will let it run its course and tie everything up. It has a strong cult following, strong DVD sales, and they are now airing it in syndication. I don't think they'd cut them off this close to the finish line.
