Did he really choose her though? I got the impression that they kinda left it on a cliff hanger.

I think he chose his wife, at least, for the moment.

From what I've heard, it's definitely a for the moment thing. The big question is going to be whether or not Meredith still wants him when he has a change of heart.

Yeah! I missed it last night because I was out in 40 degree temps with rain trying to buy a White Sox ticket. Topher my heart stopped when I saw your Avatar, I thought it said: SEX world champions. I was ready to say BRAVO to you and the spouse! I have a child in some Greek organization with the same letters so I guess I am super sensitive to the font. ;D On Topic: Dr. McDreamy was putting up with too much from Meredith, this will be a nice change to see her grovel for a few weeks, or maybe a season?

Her back and forth "love me" "don't talk to me" b.s. was getting really annoying.

It's weird, I really don't like the show, but I still watch it. It's one of the very few shows I try to watch. Actually, I don't watch TV at all during the school year (really mostly because I don't have a TV to watch), so I watch the episodes sometime later in the week, but I digress... There has been way too much "hospital incest" if you will for a show with only about 10 episodes! Damn. But I'm not sure this show is even designed to have a very long span. I feel like if it were ever moved, it wouldn't last all that long. I don't really like any of the characters except for Dr. Bailey, Katherine Heigl's character and George, and the storylines are a bit annoying. I'm sure a lot of people have compared it to ER, and while it isn't really the same, it's taking a theme (albeit a bit more comically) that ER did much better, and it did it a decade ago. I'll continue watching, but I get more annoyed with each week.

The stories just seem to get more and more outrageous. Tonight they were looking for a leg for some reason and a couple were locked into place by a pole which pieced their abdomens. I think they'd have a great show if they toned down the patients and concentrated more on what it's like to be a resident.
I missed the first 20 minutes or so. Can anyone tell me how the show started?

McSqunity sat at the bar waiting for Ronnie Miller. The others played darts and talked about her situation. The pagers go off. The residents see the train wreck on tv and go to the hospital. Ronnie shows up at the bar after everyone left. McSqunity is too drunk to do anything.

I'm one of the ones who watches this show faithfully, because I really really like it. It is soap opera-ish more so than ER, but I don't think they're trying to be ER. It's just got so many different elements to it - the giant orgy a surgical ward concept, the unique medical stories (which I think they can go overboard on), the trials and tribulations of the residents. The part of the show I love the most is the friendships and bond of going through the same misery that all the residents share. I think that part is going to get REALLY good now that Izzie has to "betray" her friendship with Meredith (in Meredith's eyes) to do what is best for her career in working with McDreamy's wife. I think it's the balance between the medical stories, the whose sleeping with who, and the bond of friendhsip that makes this show good. They get that balance just right, and relax it in comparison with ER by throwing in more humor.
