I missed the boat starting a Show dogs Moms & Dads thread when the show was on because it was the most snarktastic show ever! But on June 1st on Bravo Sports Kids will begin and from the profiles of the familes:
Crazy Cheerleader mom, who has an 8 year old in competitive cheerleading and is featured in a bunch of the promos
Ice Skating mom
Stereotypical Football dad, living his NFL dreams thru his son
Divorced mom af a horse jumper who may not be able to pay the high costs of the sport
and Strict Basketball Coach/mom who keeps her daughter from dating b/c she dosen't want the girl to mess up her life by getting pregnant at 17 like she did.
there thats all of them, and if someone could link to the bravo site of this show for me that would be awesome because for some reason i am too retarded to link right!

I was hooked on SBM&D, but I never touched the dogs one.
With this, though? I'm in!

I am dying to see this but I can't get any info on if/where it will air in Canada. There isn't anything about the show on the Canadian Bravo website. If anybody knows, please let me know!
With Batboy playing hockey and baseball and Batguy coaching hockey, we come in contact with a number of sports parents (one dad we know spent $12000 on his 9 year old's hockey last year!!). We're also desperately trying not to be sports parents, ourselves (Batboy is a natural athlete and very good at baseball, in particular).
Oh well, at least I can watch the webisode profile of the 7th family on the website.

I'm totally excited for this one. The horse-girl is doing what's called "Three Day Eventing. " It consists of dressage, cross-country jumping, and stadium jumping. I did this when I was a teenager and yes, it is VERY expensive, so it's not something most horse-loving girls are able to do (I got lucky with overly-indulgent parents). Watching one of the trailers showing her crying and something about selling her horse is not an uncommon scene.

I'm dying to see this and I can't find it anywhere in the Canadian listings. And I forgot to ask Batguy to tape today's Oprah with some of the crazy parents on.
We're having some issues with Batboy's baseball coaches. Batboy is clearly the best kid on the team and has a very good shot at making the all star team for our club, however our coaches think that their kids should go and seem to see Batboy as a threat. We've been noticing some odd positioning choices lately, but chalked it up to a different coaching philosophy but at last night's game, it was pretty clear that the coaches were trying to make Batboy look bad and their kids look good (it was so obvious that every other parent on our team noticed and commented on it to us) in front of the all-star coaches, who had come to watch.
I need to see this show. Aside from the obvious joy at watching grossly incompotent parents, Batguy and I are really trying to walk that fine line between encouraging our kid, making sure he's given the opportunity to develop his obvious talent, but not becoming overinvolved, shrill, asswipes and we could use some perspective.

Just gave wife orders that she has the right to shoot me if I am anywhere like these parents.
Where is the logic of this: spend 15k a year for a 8 year old cherleader in order to get a college scholarship?

^^ Better question: What kind of parent puts an 8-year-old in a top that exposes most of her torso, enough makeup to make the baby Jesus cry, forces her to perform when she's clearly exhausted, and is proud of those facts?

liike others have said brfore..the cheer mom gives off a Debbie Tye (from showbiz moms and dads) vibe. I agree, at the too much makeup, the SGT. asked me if all cheerleaders wear that much shit on their face, to whic i replied that we should invest in spray Glitter ASAP!What got me was the training her in the pool at 4, the mom saying she didnt balence herself and such. Sarah looked like she was abou t to bitchslap the cheer coach when she said she botched the last toss.
Who the hell has weekly appointments at a chiropractor for an 8 year old? I am not in the medical field at all but wouldn't that screw with growing bones and muscle systems? Horse mom with the 'anoerxia watch' Man i would of been pissed too if my mom had said that to me. From the looks of it Karili is stressed out about a bunch of stuff, now knowing my luck she will probly be in anorexia treatment by the end of season. Skating mom reminds me of some of the moms from back in the ballet days where they could watch practice all day long but the moment that solo audition was coming up they were puking in the bathroom along with some of the girls. Anyone watch the webepisode yet?
