Eric's twitter account picture shows him looking pretty good. But then I scrolled down and saw a picture of him at some Broadway show called "The Diet Show", and he's huge. What a shame.
I have mixed feelings about the show. I'm sure it's inspirational for some people, but there are probably also a ton of people who tune in to watch the fat guy fall off the treadmill over and over again. Or do some silly obstacle course while barely being about to breath. I don't know.
Dolvett is a beautiful man. That's all.

Unless my feed was extra bad, (which it might have been) I think his nickname is actually Bi ingo. Extra-special spelling.

Unless my feed was extra bad, (which it might have been) I think his nickname is actually Bi ingo. Extra-special spelling. It's not your TV. His name (-o) IS Biingo. Some folks on TWOP were speculating that it's because of being really into playing Wii- but on the show it looked like he was playing X Box and then regular computer games like Halo and WoW and such. If he'd been into Wii- he would have been moving/ exercising more. So, I think he's just a product of his generation that can't have anything be simple or sensible. Noah is not enough! Bingo is not even enough. No, he is Biingo! Respect b*tches!!!

I saw that Bingo (I refuse to spell it like that) said he kept candy next to his bed for when he got hungry, and then he pulls out these whopping chocolate bars that were the size you'd expect to use for cooking purposes - big fat pound-size chocolate bars. Really?? I don't want to get all judgey, but I'm giving his mom a mental side-eye right now.

I think with the kids they really need to target the parents and the entire family. After all it's the parents buying & preparing the food so if they don't change then the kids are doomed.

That interview is three years old. Is anything in there surprising, really? This show is weight loss by means of yelling, for the sake of entertainment. The advice is doled out by personal trainers, not doctors, nutritionists, or licensed physical therapists. And the point to winning is to lose weight, not to keep it off. Anyone who goes on the show at this point expecting long-term results or basic human decency is an idiot.

I think Kai's season was the last one I watched fully. I remember finding her really annoying with her AWESOME! PERSONALITY!!!! I know editing can skew perception, but from what I saw she clearly enjoyed the psychological game play of being cliquey, catty, and ultra competitive. I must have really disliked the edited side I saw of her if I remember her after all these years.
In this interview she makes it sound as if she was aware of the mind fuckery that was going on at the time, but I'm thinking her mind was completely fucked during filming; hence, her amazing awesome totally hyper outgoing emotional enthusiastic PERSONALITY!!! She probably got pissed once she was out of that brainwash bubble and realized what was done to her, which is common for participants in competitive reality shows where psychological manipulation and exploitation is an ordinary part of the casting, filming, and editing process. So yeah, whether this interview is new or old, it's not shocking. That doesn't make me any less disgusted with the people who make a career out of putting vulnerable, naive/dumb, and needy human beings through the ringer without any regard for how they'll come out of it, though. It takes a special kind of greedy asshole to produce a show like The Biggest Loser.
I stopped watching when they started pushing products that aren't going to help anyone lose weight or keep the weight off like sugar free gum, Subway, and those 100 calorie snack packs of cookies that probably have more chemicals and junk packed into those little bags than an entire box of the real things. There were these offensive food challenges too, but I can't remember the details of those. It had something to do with being tempted by tables piled with stuff like donuts and fried chicken and the ability to sabotage the other team and win if you went ahead and ate it....or something like that. I remember being disgusted by the food aspect of the show more than the intensive workouts. That seemed more damaging and misleading to me. At least with the workout aspect, if people are inspired to find a trainer of their own and give it a try, it wouldn't hurt them since IRL trainers don't push as hard. But that bullshit diet food is everywhere, and all it does is keep obese people in that unhealthy cycle of trying to magically lose weight without having to change their lifestyle.

I find Bob and Jillian very punchable, and this sure doesn't help! I cringe when they look like they want to cry and scream at people for losing "ONLY" 8, 10, 12 pounds - a week. That's eating disorder/drop dead territory. I really can't believe they haven't knocked anyone off yet if they're really doing this. I wonder if anything has changed? That Dolvett guy is pretty yummy, and seems kinder than the other two doofuses.
