I'm a toy dog girl. I get really pissed off if I miss the toy dogs and tune in during the hound group. I am just not a fan of the hounds.

One of my favorite things ever was an announcer a few years back (you know how they have the "straight guy" announcer and the "wacky" announcer all Best in Show?).... Anyway, the serious guy was making a comment about one of those dogs that look like they're covered in rope or mops or something, and talking about how the judges were moving aside the hair to judge the clarity of the dogs eyes or somesuch, and the "wacky" announcer said, "You know, if you pick through all that hair and only find one eyeball, you've got the wrong end of the dog."
That bit of awesomeness was my friend's sig. for ages.

Love the dog show! Remember last year when Carlee the pointer held her stance like a stone as the crowd cheered wildly? Awesome.
Yay! A pug won the toy group.

I heart any kind of dog show. Any kind at all. My TiVo is packed with agility specials, etc.

It bugs me that Westies almost never win the terrier group, much less best in show...must have something to do with that silly chrysanthemum-head haircut they give them when they show. Makes them look like furry white lollipops on four legs instead of the beautiful dogs they are.
Of course I'm insanely biased, being mum to a wee Westie, but I'd still like to seem them win.

Oxynia, there is no dog cuter than your Hugo. And it's not just the Westies, I love beagles but they never win either.
